Seem sturdy and sharp enough to penrtrate thick material.
Vrry satisfactory for my purpose ..... to hold a fitted sheet firmly to a mattress, and to stop it "riding up" and coming off at the mattress corners. Would be suitable for any similar holding job.

These safety pins are a sturdy design but not large enough for use on shawls or kilts.For general use they are fine, just not what it had hoped for.
