Quality dog treat my 16 year old dog LOVES!
My dog LOVES the lamb flavor of this treat. The cute little hearts break in two. I give her 3 halves along with her Duralactin tablet after our morning walk. She's 50 pounds but just those three small pieces seem to satisfy her. Maybe it's like a rich dessert that we humans can't gobble down in a mass quantity?

No more than six treats a day.
Before I purchased this I was using a store brand for treats. My puppy started having runny poop and I knew it wasn’t the dog food. So I tried this and I couldn’t be more pleased. Started giving my pup these as rewards in trading and the next days poop was solid. I’ll only use these from now one.

My dogs eat better than I do
I have two dogs that are polar opposites on how they react to treats, especially new treats. The small three year old will eat just about anything without so much as a sniff first. The medium sized older dog is very picky and will walk away from a treat I know she likes if she isn't in the mood. I should point out that weight management is an issue with the small dog but the medium sized dog doesn't carry an ounce of fat so there's something to be said about her attitude. The treats are heart shaped and are scored in the middle so you can easily break them in half. I did that for my small dog. They are approximately 1 1/2 inches wide at the top of the heart and long. They are sort of thin at 3/16 inch.My small dog gobbled up the treat as I expected she would. But, she did at least sniff it first. My medium sized dog sniffed it, then took it in her mouth and walked off with it (the small dog right behind her in case she dropped it). She bit into it and ate it slowly and then walked away from the crumbs but the small dog handled that chore. Please note, they are crunchy and brittle. They also have a best by date - mine was one year from delivery.Overall, a good treat that was well received by both of my dogs. You can see from the ingredients that they are true to their word - no grains, fillers, etc. All natural without any by-products.

Like biscuits
First things first, my dog will eat ANYTHING. He is that dog that makes you embarrassed when eating because people think he is being starved. He will inhale anything: carrots, steak or any dry or wet dog food. I have to serve his food in maze bowl to prevent him from eating his food in one breath. He reacted to this treat with 1 - 2 sec hesitation but then he devoured it. Treat is heart shaped and there is a line across the middle so you can easily snap it a half for very small breed dogs. The texture is dry like biscuit and I wouldn’t guess there is meat if it wasn’t listed in ingredients. I am not the fan of the scent, I can’t compare it with anything. I can only say I don’t like it and it’s really intense. It doesn’t smell meaty though. It is grain free so that might be deciding factor for some. I personally don’t believe in cutting ingredients out, I am believer in balanced diet. Ingredients are non GMO which means they are not genetically modified but they are not organic which is 100x better. Organic is automatically non GMO and it has zero additives, pesticides or any sort of enhancement to ingredients.

Whole Food Treats
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. It seems like nowadays most dog treats are made from corn, soy and various gluten meals. They are cheap ways to fill your dog up and of course they like them but they don't offer very much nutrition. My family and I prefer to feed our dog treats that have benefits to his health. This is a little more pricey then some of the other treats on the market but they are made with real ingredients.I like that lamb is the first ingredient listed. There are grains in here as well which offer an energy boost but they aren't empty calories. Quinoa is the second listed ingredient, which is also high in protein. The yellow peas are the 3rd ingredient then comes sunflower oil, cane molasses, blueberries, cranberries, Chia seed, dried kelp and rosemary extract. I feel good about giving these to him. The blueberries and cranberries offer him antioxidants and the Chia seed are great for his health. The kelp is good for his coat and eyesight. As you can see in my video, he approves and thinks they're good also.
