Cricut 2007004 Maker Machine, Rose

I am relatively new to the Cricut family and decided if I was going to get one I wanted one that did everything, I was not disappointed. Since it arrived I have not stopped using it, I have cut Vinyl, cardstock, leather, HTV and it has impressed me every time. For an honest review I would have to say that for the money it is slightly disappointing that you only get the fine point blade and rotary blade included with the machine however it is enough to get you going. I have purchase most of the addition tools to go with it and although they seem to be rather pricey once you have them the parts which you need to change thereafter are not.I would recommend that you ask yourself why you want the machine? If it is for a bit of fun and you just want to make bits and bobs for friends and family then I would look at a cheaper option, there are several other Cricut machines and alternative branded cutters available. If you are using this machine as a business tool to make money then I would say go for it, it saves time, there are so many possible avenues you could venture down with just one machine, Its cutting power is amazing and as a bonus its not bulky or ugly looking.Again, once you have the machine and open the Cricut design space you realise that what you can see is not available to you without a subscription. This can be rather annoying, however I weighed up the pros and cons of the subscription. I pay to have music, additional cloud storage, television subscriptions etc and they bring me pleasure. For £7.49 a month I can unlock all of this additional material and it will not only make me happy, it will make me money! If you are super talented or have subscriptions to other design software there is the option of uploading your own designs which comes in very handy and costs nothing.Overall I am really impressed with the machine, its capabilities and the software available. I would definitely recommend this machine.

As a professional baker I was spending a small fortune on cake toppers & acrylic charms, discs and paddles to go on my cakes. After doing a bit of research I settled on the Maker as I wanted to cut acrylic and it does but you need to use 020 acrylic ( and a knife blade) anything else is too thick.Within an hour of unboxing and several YouTube videos later I had made my first glitter card topper for a wedding cake.I have since made more and acrylic charms and paddles with good success.The design space software is complicated and takes some getting used to. YouTube videos have been very helpful. I have not tried complex toppers with layering yet but I can see this machine has great potential.A great addition to my equipment.

Freedom to cut just about anything you want! So quiet and such a clever little machine!I've never used a Cricut before although I've always wanted one. My boys asked if I wanted it for my birthday, to which of course, I said yes! Everytime I put this machine to work it does the job beautifully. Design Space, the dedicated software needed to send jobs over to the machine does have a few little hiccups, but being able to workon designs on the go using your phone or tablet is great! I messed about with some vinyl yesterday and I purposely picked a small intricate design. The Cricut cut it out perfectly. You most certainly need the basic tools set but I managed with some very fine curved tweezers. The spatula though, that is a godsend! If you are thinking of getting one, dont hesitate! You will love it. Absolutely brilliant piece of kit.

The Machine itself... I absolutely Love it! I’m glad I got the maker rather than the explore air 2 as it can do so much more! Granted I’m yet to use all these extra features, but I’ve only had it for about 2 months so far and it is costly to get each extra item (e.g. the Knife blade) to be able to do the extra things, it will be a gradual progress! All I can recommend is do your research and see what is right for you, there are plenty of Facebook groups to help and advise. I’m so glad I got the rose colour as it’s so pretty to look at. I use it at least once a week, it would be more if I didn’t have to work! I hope I can incorporate it into a business one day! It is expensive to start but such a fun hobby! I find myself trying to find projects to do all the time and was very useful to make Christmas & Birthday gifts and cards.Delivery... it arrived in great condition, with the Uk plug, 2 mats, 2 blades -everything as described. However, it didn’t arrive when it said it would! I did purchase as a Black Friday deal so would of been around Christmas, which deliveries everywhere are notorious for delays never mind during a pandemic and lockdown! But I would of been very impressed if it arrived within the short period it originally advised, as it was apparently coming from abroad. It advised 3 days delivery but actually took about 7 days. But I think that’s reasonable considering reasons mentioned above, and it arrived ok and intact! Very happy!There are lots of bundles out there but it worked out better for my money personally to buy the maker and extras separate! Thank you!

I brought this a little worried I wouldn’t be able to use it as I’m not tech minded at all , but it’s soooooo easy to use , and the set up is more than simple.This works with your phone and you can set it up on your phone and then send prints directly from your phone ! It’s amazing! I’m so glad i brought it and highly recommend it.
