Great work notebook!
I’ve been using this notebook for work, and it’s fantastic. The elastic closure keeps it secure, and the double wire-binding adds durability. Whether I’m jotting down notes or sketching ideas, the Rhodia Elasti Book delivers. A must-have for organized minds!” 📔🔗

Weird Lines - Not like a normal notebook
So not try to use for letters. Taking notes the paper is lovely but did not meet my needs sadly. The paper itself feels soooo nice! Worth the price.

This paper is made for ink!
This is probably the finest paper I've ever used for wet ink. I use, almost exclusively, fountain pens, for all my note taking, doodling, jotting down ideas and calligraphy. The surface is smooth, yet has a very satisfying feel when using either my Lamy or Bexley Submariner pens. There is no bleed-through or feathering. I was able to get a broad Sharpie to start to bleed through after leaving the pen-point sit on the paper (I'll post some pics in the future). The spiral bound notebook is bit larger than I'm used to, but the soft cover and Elasti-binder make it easy and convenient for portable use; great at the morning coffee shop where I can pen caffeine propelled thoughts to paper. The paper is perforated for easy removal if needed. Multi coloured Tul pens can be used without smearing and is great for creating timelines with multiple different coloured tasks. Pencil "lead" softer than HB will smear - So, while not a sketch pad I use H and harder for sketching and shading my doodles.

Super smooth paper!
I was looking for super smooth paper and I usually use moleskin, but i wanted a spiral and larger format for notes. This is perfect.

The quality of this paper is intense! It's so smooth to the touch. Be warned, when using mechanical pencils, your markings will smudge a little.

Flimsy, arrived in rough shape, not as advertised.
First of all, I ordered this notebook in both black and orange, same product, both directly from Amazon via Prime (no 3rd parties, etc.). The paper is not perforated in either notebook, even though that is explicitly stated in the product description - lame. Both notebooks are very flimsy. A "Five Star" notebook from my campus bookstore would be twice as sturdy at 1/3rd the price. The front and rear covers are simply cheap waxy cardboard. In addition, the covers look as if they've been handled pretty roughly. There are lots of dents and scrapes, etc. Typically items ordered directly through Amazon arrive in pristine condition, but these have clearly been hanging around a warehouse for some time. Also, the metal tags (little tubular devices) that hold the elastic band to the rear cover are rusty, and have therefore ruined the last 1-2 pages of each notebook. There is also a clear impression from those tags for the last 1/2 of the notebook. Meaning that only around 45 sheets actually look new. Rhodia needs to make the tags lower profile. Many other notebook manufacturers use round metal grommets that, in addition to not flapping around, don't mess up the paper as much. Finally, the "elasti-band" itself is loose enough to be pretty much useless. It will slip right off at the slightest movement. Don't see the issue getting any better, as the notebook has no pockets (another annoyance) and will therefore not be getting any thicker. Shortening the band will only serve to bow the notebook, because as I mentioned, the covers are very flimsy. The paper is okay. Lower quality than Moleskine. Smooth yes, but pretty thin. This is my first Rhodia purchase, is this really the paper they're known for???For $16 ($12 for the black one) I was expecting a notebook sized, Moleskine-like object. Instead I got ripped off.

Rhodia Books & Pads Are Superb!
I have several Rhodia notebooks and legal pads which I use with fountain pens. They dry quickly, ink doesn't leak through pages "even though I always put a page behind", and they are encased in quality plastic or carboard to keep them in nice condition. Would highly recommend these if you use fountain pens but if you are just using a cheap old Bic pen, then don't waste your money on high quality paper!
