Easy way to take medication timely
My caveat is that I don't actually use this to house my medication. I think I could, I just haven't done so. If you had several types, you'd have to fill it often. I work at my desk most of the day, so I just put this next to the prescription bottle. The timer has different alarms - audio (It's time to take your pill), an alarm, or a light. I haven't tried the light. There are four timers you can set and you can set them to different alarm settings if you want. The alarm goes off a few times - maybe 4 or 5 beeps - then stops for maybe 30 seconds. Then it goes off again. It does this 3 or 4 times. If you do not press the off button, the display shows that you missed it. So, if I come back to my desk and see a large X over one of the timers, I know I missed that dose. It's nice because it's not intrusive to the people around me.It's VERY easy to use and has a cover over the controls so you can't inadvertently change a timer.

This item would be great if it worked correctly.
I bought this for a present for my brother. He said the buttons worked really hard to set. He also only used it a short while and it stopped working. He returned it. The company got it 12-9-2019 and I have not received a refund or any notification that they are working to return my money.Update I received a refund from Amazon on Monday 12-16-2019.

I never want to be without this pill alarm!!!!
Fantastic! I could never remember to take my medications at the right times during the day. I'd lose track of time and only realize I hadn't taken my pills until hours later. This little pill alarm has solved my problem! I keep it on my desk when I'm working and it's small enough to stick into a pocket when I'm walking around. When I'm out, I stick it in my backpack and can hear the little voice from within saying "Time to take your pill" in a pleasant female voice. It always makes me laugh and most of the time I'm engrossed in whatever I'm doing and and grateful for the reminder - otherwise I'd forget again. I never want to be without one of these. It has become so indispensable and the price so reasonable that I bought a couple of extras. The directions are clear and it's easy to program.

Very Good, Best Product Available for what it does
This MEDPORT reminder/manager was purchased to replace the 6 year old model my wife has been using successfully and easily. The only difference between the old model and the new in appearance is the advertising stamp on the front, otherwise it still has the MEDport logo and the same control-button functions used for setting the clock, the reminder times (up to four), and the choice of alarm (voice, beep, visual for hearing impaired). The only let-down with this model is that the voice recording “time to take your pill” seems to have degraded since the first models were released. The voice is “metallic” and just a bit creepy sounding now. I wrote to the supplier about it, they had no other complaints but Amazon freely replaced the unit and turns out the voice is a just a little better on the replacement unit but it is softer and lower volume (and still slightly metallic). The original model came with 7 dispenser units cradled in a Sunday through Monday plastic holder box so you can fill them for a whole week in advance, this unit is the replacement model for the medication manager only and if you don’t have the extra MEDgliders you will have to fill your container each day. The unit works well, as advertised, is easy to program, and easy to use. If you have arthritic hands the slider bar on the end, used for programming each component reminder and then locking, is very tight and you might need assistance. This is however the best available med manager system out there and in comparison to other “cheap” manufactured “systems” it works and it lasts (at least 6 years). Full disclosure, the old one gave up the ghost because bad batteries corroded in it and ruined it, so we had to replace it, otherwise it might still be running. One more note: if you drop the unit or otherwise sharply jar it, it can make the batteries jostle and lose the memory of the programming and thus, you will have to reprogram the clock and the reminder settings. Because of the small foibles, the probability of losing the memory and the tight to adjust programming bar on the end, it is not perfect (5 stars) but it is very good and the best thing you can live with (4 stars) if you have a multiple pill regimen throughout the day (especially if you take a lot of pills).

Have relied on this for years
My life changed when I found this talking pill box. I've been using the same one for 10 years! So, I bought this one for a friend who forgets to take his meds on schedule. And I bought a back-up one for myself because I never want to be without it if mine ever breaks. The voice is a gentle, but persistent reminder that repeats "Time to take your pill" several times or until you press a button. Sometimes when I go out, it speaks from inside my bag and people look around, saying "What's that?" I think it's funny, but if you would not be amused, you can switch to a buzzer. If you miss your dose -- say you left the pill box home -- it shows an X on the display. No more wondering if I took my noon-time pill or morning vitamins. Not high-tech, but completely reliable and durable.

Its very small, only good for people who take few medications.
The concept is great, I have a larger one for my entire months supply at home and its great getting that reminder to take my medications. So I thought this would be a great item to have for a long weekend. I could take my pill containers for those days with me and then fill this one in the morning as I go about having fun and really need the reminder. While I still have this I just want to chuck it because it hardly holds any pills. It has openings for 4 times during the day, but the container for this pills is very small. So if you take just a few pills and no more than one is large, you will be okay. But if you have large pills or a good quantity, don't waste your money. I take 12 morning pills, and 2 are large capsules and even splitting them between two compartments didn't provide enough capacity. However, I only take 5 pills at bedtime and all are small and it worked there.

You can program it and it looks ok but now it will not alarm. this is the 2nd one I got from you and they both have failed. do you have any that you have tested and know they work? otherwise, I would like a refund and your suggestion of another brand of pill reminder that is of better qualithy.
