Makes a loud bang when activated/deactivated
I'm using a water level relay to activate this valve and add water to our fish ponds automatically. It works great despite the loud bang that it makes when activated and deactivated.... you just have to get used to it.Be aware that the electrical wires exiting the head have no way of containment. I extended the wires and ran them through 3/4" EMT in order to provide protection to the 120VAC wires.Standard 1/2" copper threaded male fittings tightened up nicely with zero leaks.

Working great, but power leads are too short.
This product is working great and has been in service for over a month now. The power leads are only 6 inches long and will most likely have to be spliced for most applications.

Good Valve
Interface this valve with an Smart control device so it can be used with voice control "hey goodle.... :-). Works much better than the Smart Valve type, which if the electronics went bad, the whole smart valve got to be replaced.

Own TriState Refrigreation I have about 45 years in sales and repairs and installs
for water shut off for ice maker water cooled and refrigeration the same, install it in cold water line to the unit, if the compressor is off temp or defrost its make up for and bad water value and save a customer a ton of moneyIts hard to find that for around 18 dollars, your can replace it with flare nuts then clean it.

Well made, but only blocks flow in one direction, and electrical leads are too short.
Works as described, would rate it 5 stars except the pigtail leads are rather too short at only about 6" - as can be seen in the photo I had to inline splice them to make them long enough to connect inside an electrical box directly adjacent to the solenoid valve.

Failed after 2 years of not much use.
It is very loud when it turns on. I am using it for a hot water recirc line in my house and is installed in the crawlspace under the house and I can hear it turn on from the other side of the house! If it wasn't so loud when it turns on I would give it 5 stars because it is built very well.Update 1/1/2018: The valve failed after only 2 years so I changed my review to 1 star. I took it apart and cleaned it (it wasn't that dirty) but the coil will not pull in the valve. Valve will not open. I am using it for hot water re-circulation and it is not on a lot. Only for short periods throughout the day. I will contact Baco to see what their warranty is. I will not buy again.
