Mother Teresa: In My Own Words

This book is a treasury of wisdom from one who lived a radical life of poverty and service so that she could be more effective at bringing Jesus to "the poorest of the poor in their holes on the streets."Easily read, and with pictures from her life, this book is well organized. While "Mother Teresa: Come Be my Light" would be a much more complete and in-depth book on this (probable) saint, that one is also a much heavier read.This book, "In My Own Words," is much more easily digested and serves as both a good introduction to this saintly life, and as a source of pithy pearls of wisdom in readily grasped and inspirational morsels.This book belongs on the shelf of all Christians to serve as inspiration and guide in our treatment of others, and indeed, of any who desire, no matter their religious affiliation (or lack thereof), to serve their fellow human beings.

A nice little compact book, concisely reviewing Mother Teresa's views on a number of subjects. She is an amazing iconic figure, even though I do not agree with some of her views. I read it, underlined parts, but eventually gave the book away. It may help someone else who needs this kind of encouragement.

This is the third time I've purchased this book. I keep a supply of Mother Teresa's books handy to give as gifts to friends/family members, or sometimes even strangers, who are going through dark times. This, and other books about and by Mother Teresa, had helped me to grasp the true meaning of love and of life, and helped put my feet back on the ground through some very difficult times. I'm happy to say the books have helped my gift recipients also!

A wonderful book like all of mother Theresa. I suggest you read it and take your time doing so. It is good to go slow for it is full of depth

It was okay, maybe my expectations were higher than they should have been. Instead of biographical info about Mother Teresa (part of my expectations) it was a little book of quotes she might have said. The quotes were those a saint would say and certainly reflected her humble and wonderful spirit in being a savior of the poor. Inspirational? Certainly.

It would be hard not to love the insight of one of the most cherished and beloved woman of all time. Mother Teresa was richly blessed in love and compassion for all people, but particularly for the poor and unwanted. How blessed they were to have Mother Teresa touch their lives, and how beautiful this world would be if we all shared the heart of mind of one of the most profoundly beautiful beings on the face of the earth.

I have the paperback of this book and I rate that with five stars. It is one of my favorite books. So, I am a little disappointed that throughout the Kindle version there appears the word "nonindent" appears nine time throughout the text. it is a bit distracting. It needs to be corrected in the Kindle version. If these errors did not appear, I would definitely give this five stars.

A woman for our times who showed her love in action and never faltered in her difficult call. She cared for the poorest of the poor and shamed the people responsible for their existence.

Maybe this book was the five evangile. The Mother Therese words are here for indicate us the path of love. Love wich is joy, love wich is service, love wich is pray. We can feel Jesus speaking thru the heart and words of the Saint Mother Therese of Calcuta.

The book is great healing food for soul. But the price is crazy. but I wanted it desperately and so I spent nearly 800rs for a booklet. But it's a booklet of eternal love. I pray the price gets down and it is made in hard bound cover. Very very thankful.

Another beautiful read there are many little parts of this book that keeps me in touch with our Lord

This book....is not that what i want to buy
