Not as advertised. Not suited for its intended purpose. Sturdy storage case.
A total throw away junk item. Not as advertised because there are no audible beep tones to indicate starting or completing the temp read cycle. There are faint beep tones if you press the unit against your ear and turn it on, but these are not audible during actual use. (By comparison, my BD digital thermometer has very audible beep tones.) Time for oral temp reading is typically 16 seconds according to the instruction sheet. The 10 second time which is advertised only applies to rectal readings. Oral temperature readings are up to 0.5 degrees too low when compared to other thermometers which makes the item useless for its intended purpose. And please wear gloves and safety goggles when trying to extricate the thermometer from the multi-layer hermetically heat-sealed plastic package. The packaging would be ideal for archival storage in a hundred year time capsule.
