Sturdy reliable pumps
I have purchased several of this brand's pumps for various fountains. They are very sturdy and perform well and last for quite awhile. Most of the failures are our fault for not keeping on top of the water levels within the fountain and we burn out the pump.

Perfect flow and power for my 12x12x24 tank
The media could not be loaded. Wrote a review for my fountain and thought this info would be good for someone looking for the power of this pump or how to build a terrarium with this pump. Just copied and pasted, that's why the wording is more towards the fountain. Hope this helps! Also I have this pump set on the medium setting, which is perfect. I noticed no noise from the pump itself. My tank size is 12x12x24 and this pump works perfect with perfect flow of water that I was looking for.Built a bioactive terrarium/vivarium for my crested rainforest gecko. Wanted a fountain to cycle the water through the substrate and also act as a water dish for my little guy. This was perfect. I installed a 95 GPH pump in the substrate so it would have enough power to give it a 2.5 foot lift (I doubt the pump it came with would have the power for what I needed). I was able to connect the tubing of my pump to the original tubing of the fountain so aesthetically it would appear to function how it was designed with the water coming out and flowing how it is shown. Setting it up with the higher powered pump allows the water in the substrate to get filtered all the way through the system to clean and maintain the water, while allowing it to flow out of the front of the fountain so I don't have to ever clean my gecko's "water dish". It also maintains the humidity of my tank and waters my plants. I took netting and wrapped a ball of small rocks. I placed the ball directly under the front of the fountain going out a few inches. Then I put a small layer of soil over them and covered it with a plant that likes to be continually wet. The rocks allow the water to flow through without soaking the surrounding soil so that my other plants don't get overwatered.I hope all of this makes sense because this is the kind of info I was looking for when I was trying to figure out how to build my vivarium.I really like that this fountain looks very natural while also having the small "pond" at the bottom. I found it to be the perfect size for my tank which is 12x12x24. It's pretty quiet, a small tinkling like you are somewhat close to a small stream. With my tank door closed I can hardly hear it. If you are looking for a fountain for your tank, this is perfect in appearance and function! This pump functioned exactly as I was hoping it would! I can't imagine how many pounds it is buried under and it pumps like it's was made for that kind of pressure. Last pics shows all the weight the pump is under and how it still works great under all that.

Easy to use, weak pump.
While these function just fine, they are very weak and even 3 of them are not capable of moving enough water in a 10 gallon tank to keep corals happy. If your tank is 5 gallons or less, they should work just fine. They are easy to adjust and operate.

Works great and easy to set up!
I've purchased 2 of these so far. I wanted to create a water fountain and purchased the first one and loved how my fountain turned out. The pump works great and very easy to set up even for someone who has never used a water pump or created a water fountain before. I then had an idea for another water fountain so of course I purchased a 2nd one. Very happy with the Pulaco water pump!

It does exactly what I needed it to!
Ok, so the reason I purchased this may seem a bit oddball, but my portable AC has been just flooding water lately, the plastic box set under it, nearly overflows and with the increasing humidity, I was getting sick of emptying it multiple times a day. This little pump is a powerhouse and drains the box quickly! Well worth the investment.

Wouldn't Buy Again
I bought this to use as a waterfall feature near the top of my 10G aquarium, and to also provide some water circulation. I've been using it for about a week, and it works...mostly? If I had the chance, I wouldn't buy it again, but for the price it's not that big of a deal. One other reviewer noted that the pump starts to make a weird loud machine-y grind-y noise after awhile, and I've run into that already; the fix seems to be cranking up the flow all the way, but a high flow rate just doesn't really work with my setup. Keeping it at a medium flow rate seems to make the issue happen a lot more. The suction cups are a fat 0/10. They don't stick to the side of my aquarium AT ALL. Always come un-stuck, despite the glass being recently cleaned and algae free.I'd invest in a pump that's higher quality than this. It probably won't last.
