Excellent...
...this fan is used in a bedroom and it fills every requirement of such use.It has a very quiet motor and also [presumably by proper design] quiet fan blades. This all adds up to a steady stream of air without the usual distracting noise of fan blades beating the air and/or a motor that is working too hard to drive the fan.The oscillation works silently [no clicking at either end of travel] and I would give this a very strong recommendation - so much so that I may be buying another.I had purchased a similar 16" fan before buying this one and had to return it to Amazon as it was simply too noisy to use in a bedroom - at the time it cost a little more than this one did.My only tiny niggle - and it is tiny - relates to assembly and the very tiny screw and tiny nut that needs to be inserted into the fan blade cage to secure the 2 halves. It's a fiddle but small fingers would be a decided advantage.

A very very quiet fan on it's lowest setting
This fan was a little fiddly to assemble, the bolt and nut that are placed in the bottom of the shroud are very tiny and anyone with stiff fingers will find this an issue, but that is a personal thing. This fan is very light compact and quiet in use, I use it in my loft to cool 3 Raspberry RPi's and it loweredtheir operating temperature by approximately 50%. I cannot hear the fan operating at all once the loft hatch is closed, Fan On/Off controlled by a remote power switch. Even in late October a sunny day warms up an insulated loft by quite a bit but I will not use this now until next Summer or when I see the core temps rising a lot on the RPi! Job done!

It's definitely not 'low noise'!
After researching quite a few fans, I decided to try this one due to the advertising as 'low-noise copper motor'. This is unfortunately anything but low noise. It's louder than my existing fans even on the lowest setting, the spindle rattles and the base vibrates on a hard surface. There is also a faint annoying click when it set to the oscillate function which makes it impossible to fall asleep to at night. Whilst it is effective as a typical 12in fan, the fact that is anything but low noise means I am returning it feeling misled by the advertisement. dded to which I have to pay £3.11 for the return which is unfair under the circumstances. I would highly recommend this be avoided by anyone attracted to it's 'low noise' claim.

More than delighted with this fan
The fan is is the best quality, and gives a brilliant performance. A nice looking fan tooDidn't like the silly cheap looking middle that can be put onto the middme of the outside of the guard. It has a sketch type picture of a flame on it as if itwas a gas appliance!!!!? That I discarded, it was pointless and spoilt the look of the nicely produced fan!

A decent fan at a decent price.
This is a fairly quiet fan and it works well on the lowest setting. It was relatively easy to put together however trying to put the tiny nut onto the tiny screw at the base of the grill proved a little difficult even with my small hands but managed it in the end. Other than that I'm delighted with it.

Absolute GARBAGE!!
Bought 2 of these for my son. He wanted them for next to his computer desk, but only wanted small ones so I didn't go for the 12inch fans. I let him set them up then thought nothing of them. A day later he says their a but loud so I had a look at them. Shoddy construction at best. The motors armatures are loose causing the fan to vibrate. If I can find the bloody boxes they're going back. Save some money and buy one from screw fix.

cheap and nasty
absolute rubbish. after two weeks the rattles started and the blade made noises as if it was off centre. in the bin, waste of money.

Just what is needed on extremely warm nights
Bought this for the bedroom and haven't been disappointed. Extremely quiet and slept so much better. Well worth the purchase.
