Ultrapod Tripod Black

I have taken this tripod on multiple hiking, backpacking, and biking trips. I was looking for something lightweight, durable, stable, and versatile; definitely meets the need! I added a cell phone clamp to the top, and using a Bluetooth camera trigger, it is very quick and easy to deploy and capture great shots. Another nice feature is the ability to strap the tripod to a hiking pole with the included Velcro and use the pole as a selfie stick.

This tripod is sturdy, rugged and has quick set-up/take-down.My one improvement comment is that this is for holding a device that measures wind…So to ensure that it does not blow over or tip over due to wind, I wish it came with an anchor point (a hole at the tripod’s center) to affix a weight/tie-down to. I had to (easily) build my own anchor point for this with a couple zip ties & string.

The tilt has little indents meant to act as sort of slots for angles but often ill be trying to get an exact angle that is very difficult to adjust to with these indents so getting it to stay the way I want is difficult. I owned an older version of this before that didn’t do that and in my opinion it was much better. Besides that it is a good, easy to use mini tripod that I keep on my camera and it’s good for vlogging.

This is the ultrapod 3 and not the grip as pictured. Pleasantly surprised to get the newer model, light weight and perfect as intend to use while hiking to attach to my leki poles to take family photos

The wide stance makes it stable in up to about 12 mph wind. Above 12 mph, the furnished Velcro strap fastened to a shooting bag or other heavy object works well.It takes only 1/4x20 thread adapters/heads.

Perfect for holding your kestrel on the bench or in the field. Works great!

We have the smaller version too, which is constructed better. This version has a rubber ball with the head pressed into it. Ours simply slid out. Now it comes apart in two pieces and we can no longer trust it to hold a camera or phone.We are searching for a better, safer, option..

Yep it's Ultrapod III. Ok to hold the camera in place. The photo is my A7iii with a 400g Viltrox 85mm lens.
