An asset to any jewelry artist.
Worth the money. I bought these primarily to cut jump rings after seeing a tute where coils were cut with straight, clean joints..with one cut. Using a flush cutter leaves a beveled joint. You can flip your cutter back and forth but you're still left with rough joints. Manual sawing is awkward and I don't use so many rings that I need to invest hundreds in a jumpringer and flexshaft. Cutting coils with this shear gives the next best joint to a saw. If you tumble your rings the joints become almost invisible. The compact, pointy tip and Lindstrom sturdiness make these a necessary tool if you want clean precision when you cut your metal pieces. Seriously considering purchasing another pair and having one dedicated to coil cutting only.

Love these
I have used these for years in my jewelry studio. Perfect for bezel wire and jump rings. The best.

Cuts like butter. With that said
Cuts like butter. With that said, I've found Fiskar shears at Michael's Arts and Crafts for $20 less that cut the same gauge of sheet metal just as well, and shears at the local hardware store for $30 less that cut even better. But the grip on these is much nicer than on the others. Extremely comfortable.

Good quality
This works well on thicker gauge wires. I bought it to replace a cheaper tool that I broke with the intention of using it in tight spaces of wire work. It's too bulky for that and it's not very comfortable if you have small hands. However, it's a good quality tool that I'd recommend for more basic wire cutting needs.

Nice sharp shears that are easy to use.
I love these! Nice clean cutting without excessive force required on my part.

Disappointed, I was expecting so much more
Not worth the price. I have one of these for so long, finally spent the money to buy them because I was told that they cut straight. Not even close you have to pry them back open before every cut, and it's honestly not even worth the filing to make them even so you could solder the metal together. Sad because I really had high hopes and expectations from these

Good quality shear from a great company
Wonderful product. Great quality. Lindstrom produced the best electronics tools for years. This shear is a good quality alternative to much more expensive shears.

they cut through 16 gauge wire. I bought them ...
they cut through 16 gauge wire. I bought them so I can cut through a coil to make my own jump rings when I don't want to use my jewelers saw. it takes a little force but they cut through.

nice shears
Expensive yes, but they cut through 24 gauge silver sheet like butter. They tend to stick a bit when new but I lubricated with a touch of oil on the spring.
