So let's start out with this...I am an Italian Jewish girl with thick hair. My eyebrows are basically wires and my braid could tow your car. The only person I know with thicker hair...is my sister. It's not easy to find a hair tie for super thick hair. I ordered these, a pony-o, and a pro hair tie to see what worked best. My hair barely fit through the pony-o....the pro hair tie I couldn't even loop it around a second time...but these teleties....😱😱😱I bought the large...I can loop it around twice. It works for a ponytail or bun. I can loop it around a third time for a SUPER tight ponytail it *can* stretch that much if it needs to. They do stretch out a bit...but warm to hot water gets them to shrink back a little. I am sure if you don't stretch them to their limits they don't stretch out as much. They don't tagle in your hair. I can take it out in the middle of the night and throw it on my wrist without cutting off my circulation. They are also in so many super cute colors! Anyway....I ended up buying a bunch more on their website and will continue to do so! I even sent some to my sister! Finally! Someone figured out a good system for massive ponytails!(The photo is to show them after I stretched the life out of the zebra ones, put them in warm water, got some new colors in the mail, and compared sizes. For me I don't think it's terrible amount of stretched out. They still work perfectly...but in case anyone was wondering about the stretch.

Arrived today, and although they look very nice, what is that awful smell??!!! Airing them out, but if that doesn’t help.... I will be returning!!UPDATE: 8/30/19From the seller... the odor is caused by polymers in some of the colors. The company was kind enough to send me a replacement from a “newer” batch, however, it smells just as bad. Can’t even explain the smell. Possibly strong rotten onions?? Too bad, because they are super cute!! Returning.

I’ve been wanted to try the Teleties so I purchased these since I love tortoise shell. I’m a nurse, and I work long 12 hour shifts. These keep my hair up all day long and don’t crease my hair or pull on it! I get so many compliments on it. These are more orange than I thought they would be, but I still love them!

I always hated the kinks in my hair after wearing my hair up in a traditional hair tie - they made me commit to a ponytail style til my next wash. But! This teletie changed that for me and I love it! It very quickly goes back to shape (will looked stretched out if you tightly put up your hair) but within minutes of submerging in warm water it goes back to normal (it’s way quicker than I thought it would be). I’ve been wearing mine for 1+month now and no slack at all, like a tradition hair tie may get over time. I also like how you can wash these (hand wash) so I feel less dirty. I work in a hospital and never wore hair ties around my wrist bc I could just imagine how many germs it would gather. But with this, I can wear it and wash it and feel totally ok with it!Highly recommend.

Before purchasing, I thought other reviewers were just being overly critical about the smell. I figured that it was just a plastic smell that would fade over time. But, they really do smell bad. One day, while wearing it on my wrist, I got a whiff of B.O. mixed with onions and briefly wondered if I forgot to put on deodorant. Then, I realized that it was the hair tie. The smell also transfers to my hair. They do the job, but it's hard to get passed the stench.

These are much better for my hair in the fact that don’t pull as bad as traditional hair ties when taking them out, and they leave minimal “bumpage”. They do stretch out and do not fully return to original, unused size as demonstrated by the picture. Both were from the same pack, but I’ve only used one so far to see if they work go back to their original shape. I do have thicker hair, I just wish I could figure out how to shrink it back down! They work okay for workout, only sliding when doing high impact style workouts. I’d recommend using if you want less damage to your hair and if you want to pull your hair back while preserving your style.

Two of the three Teleties snapped after only a few uses. I just started using the third, so the verdict is out as to how long this one lasts. These came highly recommended, so I was excited to try. So much so that I even paid/waited for shipping since these are not available on Prime. The pattern is cute and I noticed they went back to their original shape fairly quickly after use, but unfortunately, the cons (i.e., a broken hair tie that is no longer a hair tie) outweigh the pros.

I love teleties, and these were so cute! I love to wear these as they don’t pull my hair like regular ones. The ones I got were larger, thicker. These are best for longer thicker hair. I have long and fine hair, but they hold the hair all day. In the future I will get more smaller ones (I have smaller ones, too, but bought these mainly for my 5 year old who has extremely thick hair.)
