Overall Amazing Quality with Affordable Price!
I originally bought the product to help with steadiness of my videos and low-light photography (due to unsteady-type lenses). It performed so stellar that I started using it right alongside my camera. I detach it from the monopod for quick and stealthy movement, then come right back to where it stands and reattach the camera. (Would recommend getting an L-Bracket for Portrait Shots.) Best part is that it doesn't take up a lot of space since it stabilizes perfectly on one three-pronged foot and support beam. Just make sure you tighten the screws! Super important! (Also, make sure that your camera and lens is light and small if you plan on just leaving the camera on the pod.)Overall, an amazing product that I would recommend to any photographer or videographer. Even comes with its own case!

Great quality and functionality for the cost.
We came across the opportunity to purchase the Ashanks MonoPod. The cost of the unit was surprisingly inexpensive in relation to the quality of the unit we recieved. The description of the item, along with the listed features were very desirable. We took the chance and placed the order. We were certainly glad we did. So much so, that we immediately ordered the Ashanks Tripod soon after recieving the MonoPod. Again, we were completely impressed by the quality of both units. The versatility of the Ashanks MonoPod was everything they said it was. We particularly liked the overall quality of the build, and the fluid head which was very smooth and stable. You won't find any cheap parts on the build. Everything is of great quality, including the carry case which is not some flimsy bag. The carrying case for both the Ashanks Tripod and the MonoPod where made of high grade material. Thick and very durable. Every component including the quick release plate, fasteners, clamps, legs, fluid head, and folding pegs for the MonoPod were extremely well built with quality material. We can see where these units will give us many years of great service. We used both units on a film shoot for four days without hesitation. The versatility of these units met every demand we asked of them with ease. Simple to set up, and simple to use... Next, I was on a location scout for another film project, and the pictures show the Ashanks Tripod and MonoPod set up. The tripod was holding a Canon 60D, and on the side of one of the legs was a 7" UHD 4K Monitor. On the MonoPod we attached a Moza Mini-MI gimble with an Android Cell attached to it allowing for lock and follow shooting of me as I walked the area for preproduction recon of the location... In closing, my company will be using these units extensively, and we are quite impressed with the purchase. You can't beat the price for the quality of the units you'll receive.

Scratched up my camera
I've only had my (3700$) camera for a week, and today I used the tripod for the first time. The mount comes with _both_ of the threaded screws inserted, obscuring the fact that they can be removed. When trying to get the mount back off to take my camera with me, I was struggling and tugging a bit, and somehow the second (unused) threaded screw scratched up my camera right below the view screen. I was infuriated so I figured out how to pop the rubber stopper out and get the second threaded screw out. But it should have come without those pre-inserted, so this would be avoided. Just such a horrible decision that has damaged my camera.

I was sure this was probably going to be absolute garbage...Until...
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I was sure this was going to be absolute garbage... Until I opened the box and out came a nice Lux carrying bag with shoulder strap and rubbery logo. As you can see from the video I included with my unboxing and initial review, this thing is "build like tank" as they say in some strange version of Soviet Russia with little schooling of English. So far I have only briefly used this out in the field for my PA to capture behind the scenes footage as well as getting some great cinematic shots of the ground from on top of a thirteen-story building here in Columbus, Ohio. I was pleasantly surprised how well it handled, how durable it is and how easy it is to transport for my "run and gun" style of filming. All and all, I highly recommend this currently, if there are any issues or problems that I run into then I will update this review, but I don't really see how there could be since this thing is a club and a half.Screw Manfroto and those overpriced pieces of gear lust, click buy now and start making your shoots the best they can be on a budget.

Quick to set up and easy to carry
Since I love travelling, I was in the market for a more compact tripod. This monopod is pretty straight forward and easy to figure out. I prefer the cam levers on this monopod to the twist lock, found on most other systems, because it's quicker to operate. I was a bit skeptical at first because the base doesn't lock the ball end but my camera was able to stand on its own upright. However, I probably won't leave my camera on it alone for too long at a time.My only gripe is the panning with the included fluid head. If you don't open the pan fully, you'll run into these series of resistance "walls" when panning. It's not a deal-breaker but I wish you could adjust the resistance more for the pan and tilt. But one would probably just upgrade to a more legit fluid head eventually, but until then, the included fluid head suffices.I appreciate the carry bag that it comes with and love the black & red theme.

Heavy Duty Monopod - Well built and easy to use
I just got this today. I have to say I am impressed with the build quality. The legs are solid and it really feels secure with the camera on it. I like how easy it is to lock all the parts and the head is very smooth to operate. My only dislike at all with the monopod is that the head does not take a universal plate. I would totally give it 5 stars if the head came with an Arca-swiss mount plate.I would highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a monopod that can support the camera as a stand alone unit. Perfect for run and gun applications!
