WARNING - DESIGN FLAW, WARPED TOP, BUYER BEWARE
No response from the manufacturer (from seller to me) after a month when we reported a serious issue immediately after assembly. We had to report the issue to the seller which was necessary because our return option window quickly closed - this type of design flaw can occur after unpackaging. We never stored it outside in cold weather and each piece was left in a separate part of the house to "degas" due to the high amount of harmful VOC's these units leave off.SimpliHome and under whatever other brands this furniture is manufactured produces phenomenal designs and we still love this series. I, unfortunately had to change my review from positive to negative over just the top warping. What a shame. My suggestion is to avoid these solid-wood sets as they are made of white pine. Pine is notorious for warping, ask anyone who builds with it. When you visit your lumber yard or home center, when you choose project-grade boards the first thing to look out for is bowed and warped peices. As mentioned, everything from the condition of the package, shipping speed and assembly was perfect. The design is outstanding, retro and beautiful. Unfortunately the top of this unit is cupping into a "U" shape, delaminating the trim, etc. Its very noticeable and with absolutely no real response from the seller I'm left with making a new top myself. One additional note - if I select the seller in the contact center Amazon tells me they have no record of that email address. So again, we're on our own.We have another side cabinet from this same manufacturer. Not surprisingly the top is also slightly bowed upward, but not enough for us to really care. I imagine we got a top that came from lumber that was sawed incorrectly, stored in less than ideal conditions and that's why its bowing. The remainder of the pieces are perfect, no other problems. When I make cabinets, shelves or anything else with pine I put in decorative saw-cuts on both sides to release the tension.BUYER BEWARE, look at our pics. Please vote this as helpful as it will help us in the community.

Might be balsa wood
I have purchased several pieces of furniture with this assembly style. This is BY FAR the lowest quality and most poorly designed of them all. The wood has no density to it, so the screws do not get enough bight to be secure and actually fill stripped out. The hardware is of such low quality that it doesn’t pull tight as it is intended to do, leaving the pieces rather wobbly. Before I actually put my TV on this stand I will have to take it apart completely, then reassemble it using wood glue and clamps so that it is actually sturdy. It was also delivered with 1 piece broke in half anther piece damaged. I’ve requested replacements but as I emmediately received a “COVID delay” email I assume it will be several weeks before I ever get the replacement parts if ever.I have reviewed this product prior to getting the replacement parts based on the EXTREMELY LOW QUALITY wood and the low quality hardware. Additionally the forward arrows on 2 pieces were put on the wrong side so when I take it apart to glue it together I will have to correct that error. This product is of such low quality that I will not purchase another piece from SimpliHome ever again and already stopped my mother form purchasing a similar stand to mine.

Be warned: some parts (drawer bottom) are extremely flimsy.
I was disappointed at the overall quality. While it's relatively easy to put together, some parts are really substandard. I don't mind the flimsy material used for the backing, but it's a tip that this isn't really a great piece of furniture. But it's also in the drawer bottom so it's not going to last long, and it certainly won't hold much weight. It's made of wafer thin luan material--the kind of stuff they call a door "skin". Shocking really. Also, one very annoying thing is that the clear tape stating that the glass in the doors is "tempered glass" notices posted on each glass door has been applied in such a way that it runs underneath the wooden mullion, so you can't really get it off, without damaging the door. This means that every time you see the inside of one of these glass doors you'll get to see part of the printed label. A reminder that it was a mistake to buy this. I really do wish I hadn't spent over $500 for this product. It would have been better to buy a well-made used piece instead.

Looks nice, but doesn't come Pre-Built, materials & instructions aren't the best for the $$$
Cons:-This does not come pre-built.-The finish is easily scratched during build.-Wood seems very soft.-Instructions reference different labels for 2 side pieces, luckily we were patient and figured it out.-No pre-drilled holes on back-Need smaller scews for top of back than specified, screws can't be put in along back top without cracking wood becausescrew holes are too close to top.-Pre-drilled holes on one large door didnt line up correctly, door installs crooked.-Drawer face is very hard to attach after its shelf has been installed in an earlier step, predrilled holes are very hard to get to. Drawer face hinge bent while trying to screw in-screw head locks don't fit this screw head type, and easily bend and snap during installation.-Shelves are not very big, some components like a brand new yamaha receiver with Alexa won't fit.Pros: Beautiful looking, just like the picture once done building.

Some Assembly Wasn't Bad At All
This furniture arrived at our home within just a few days of ordering, and it was packaged so very carefully. In addition to the Allen wrench that you get in the packaging, it may be helpful to have a power screw driver. But you won't have any trouble putting it together. The instruction book details every part of the construction with letters, numbers and images. And each little package of the various screws and fixtures was labeled individually. Whoever hangs out at the factory putting those little zip lock bags of parts together deserves a raise. An extra hex wrench and extra parts were included. Altogether, it took about an hour and a half. In addition to all of this, we now have a real nice piece of furniture in our living to frame our new 75" TV. Check out the picture I took this morning. It's real nice. And P.S. I got it for under $500. :~D
