Cornerstone Products Lite Crochet Hooks, Size C/2.5mm, Yellow Gold

I have an entire set of these lighted crochet needles. When my size C tip broke, I immediately ordered another one. The only down size to these needles are the plastic tips. You cannot use them with force and pressure or it breaks.

I love these crochet hooks because they are so comfortable. However, as I read somewhere in another review, they are not all true to size. I bought the whole set, sizes C through K. I checked them with my Susan Bates "Knit-Chek", which has the holes you stick hooks or needles in to measure them. The C and D are true to size, but the E through K all are actually one size up from what they are marked - meaning they measure as F through L. This means the Crochet Lite Crochet Hook doesn't come in a true size E at all. Just keep that in mind and be sure to check your guage! It's still a great product despite this little quirk. I've used them for a long time with no hand pain at all. The light come in handy too, and is bright enough that you can also use it to read your pattern by. But really, I've been crocheting in the dark at the drive-in movies for years. Think about it; if you have a simple repeat pattern do you REALLY need to look at your hands? But with these I won't have to turn on the light in the car or dig out a flashlight to figure out a goof or a tangle, and no more reading the patern by the light of the cell phone!

Really cool idea, a few design flaws though, one worse than the other,1) the on-off slide button is positioned right where my little finger rubs against it while I'm working on a crochet project, and this happens whether it is switched on or not. The button is kind of sharp, it's not smooth, so it's uncomfortable. In other words, it would probably create a blister on my finger if I'm doing a large project, sad to say.2) the actual light inside the crochet hook is EXTREMELY BRIGHT!!! It is actually almost too bright to be able to look at while using the hook, which is pretty ironic, since the light is the whole point of this hook. I can't say how well it would work for someone with failing or partially occluded eyesight, but for my average eyes it is just about blindingly bright.I would not recommend this line of hooks unless they redesign it to have a smooth & comfortable switch that won't scratch your finger, and to have a slightly less bright light in it.

This is a wonderful product and fantastic for crocheters with any kind of finger or wrist problems, like arthritis. They are easy to hold and more comfortable than the ordinary small steel rods. I can work for hours with them and my wrists don't ache like they do with the old types of hooks. The lights at the hook ends are ingenious. Just like the advertising says, you can actually work in the dark with them.I've only been using these for the past couple of weeks, and am in the process of replacing my old hooks with the lighted ones. I won't ever go back. I haven't had them long enough to know about battery life yet, but I've used one for a total of about 8 to 10 hours, and the batteries are still going strong.

It is nice to have a light on my crochet hook, particularly when I'm in bed fiddling around and other folks would like to sleep. In order to add in the light however, a bit of utility was lost on the hook itself - it bends a bit easily/has too much give and I think it is a little flimsy - I'm a bit worried it will break sooner than later and this was sort of an expensive crochet hook for just one size. That being said it has held up ok thus far and I do use it - so I'm generally happy with it until it gives out.

I bought several sizes of these for my wife. We do a lot of road travel and she likes to crochet while I drive. That became a problem when the sun went down until I found these on Amazon. I bought one of each size and surprised her for several days in a row by giving her a different size hook. It was kind of fun watching her find a new one every day but even better - they work perfectly for her and she uses them daily. Great product and great gift idea.

Absolutely love these for crocheting on dark yarn. Just not as sturdy as the bambo or metal ones. So if you crochet tight just take care! I haven't had any problems but a friend broke a couple before she got the hang of them. I love them! I can crochet at night watching TV or while we are traveling. So happy to have these!

.. eine sehr nützliche "Erfindung" für mich, wenn ich mit dunklen Wollfäden arbeiten muss. Leide gibt die Spitze etwas zu seh nach, wenn ich mal straffer häkeln muss. Aber dafür nehme ich dann Alunadeln...Eine Sache , die ich weiter empfehlen kann.

Die Ware traf noch vor dem eigentlichen Sendetermin einEine sehr tolle Erfindung. Spitze sehr hell.Material vom Haken könnte etwas stärker und stabiler sein. Sollte man noch mal überdenken und am Material arbeiten um es zu verbessern.Trotz allem würde ich es aber jeder Zeit wieder kaufen.

Von mir bekommt die Nadel nur 3 Sterne. Das Licht funktioniert und ist hell. Allerdings ist die Spitze aus Kunststoff und somit sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Ich habe es nicht geschafft damit zu häkeln.

die Häkelnadel ist zu empfehlen bei dunkler Wolle sehr praktisch liegt gut in der Hand ermüdet nicht das licht ist auch hell genug Danke für die sehr schöne Nadel
