DYS Long Life Lamp 600w 120v Bulb

I received two light bulbs that are nicely packed. The actual bulb is inside a small transparent plastic, then it is wrapped in bubble wrap and placed inside the light bulb's box. That box is also nicely padded inside the shipping box.Not sure if these are from Ushio. The black and white packaging show it is from GE. When I installed one bulb into the unit, it performed well. But, I was shocked when these lights lasted for only four hours before it popped and burned out. I was shocked because my last light bulb (bought elsewhere) lasted me for several days of usage (I would say around 50 hours.) I feel dumb for not looking closely at the details. I think these lamps are NOT for Lowel Omni Lights. I checked the lamp codes on the manual. DYS, DYV, and BHS are not on the list provided. This is disappointing indeed.The price on this product is definitely alluring: $6.40 but you only get four hours of use before it burns out (and it popped so that makes it more dangerous.) I think based on my experience, I would rather buy a light bulb that costs $16.95 but get 50 hours out of it (and it will not pop.)

Happy so see that Ushio still produces DYS 600W bulbs. These are compatible with Lowell lights and worked fine for me.

THey are cheap and work as intended, and they are packaged in a way that can resist hard treatment, so they will arrive safe.

The bulb worked great for a stage lighting lamp I use for a heater :)
