New RepublicMen's Ellroy Canvas Sneaker - White

For $40 it is well worth it! I usually wear the all white vans, but wanted something a little different/business casual. These shoes fit the bill. I am not a fan of the stripes in the back, but they are in the back so it really doesn’t hinder the appearance of the shoe. Shoe fits to size, is comfortable enough, maybe not as comfortable as my vans, but I have not broken them enough to truly compare. One note..they are slightly off-white, not as white as I was expecting but close enough. Actually bought my first pair of shoes off New Republic Website, but they are out of stock so bought a second pair here. I figure for the price, if I like them I can have a spare when one starts to show wear and tear!Overall, pleasantly surprised in the shoe for the price point it is at.

I have to say that if they fit "comfortably" then don't think twice. Better that Van's, and just as comfortable as Sperry. I wanted so very much to keep these. Alas, in it's defense and virtually "all" fashion sneakers, they just aren't meant to be for the regular guy, but could be if additional widths were added and maybe corner the niche market for regular widths. I just bought from Amazon the Sketchers Melson-Raymon in 11-1/2 Medium width, and Snauk HiFive in 11-1/2 Medium width. They were both more than 1/4" wider!!! that the New Republic 11-1/2 Extra Width !!!!

My first pair came with a glue stain/residue dried down the back of one of the heels. Through Amazon I was able to request an exchange super easily and got a new pair within 2 days, and sent back the original. I love these shoes! Simple and clean canvas style, and the blue/orange stripe down the back adds a touch of classic style. They take a few days to break in, of course, and the construction is not 100% perfect (but I'm nitpicky and will spot the slightest millimeter of glue or stitching that's out of place). For paying 30 bucks, this is a great value!!! Would buy again. I also have a pair of their leather Kurt sneakers which I love.

Throughout the year I nearly always wear leather boots. This summer I decided to get something a little bit cooler so I went shopping for a pair of sneakers. I found these after rejecting all of those brightly colored sneakers you find everywhere.Plain jane sneakers is what I wanted and these go well with jeans or chinos. They have a couple of air holes on the sides to help with breathability.They fit true to size in my Brannock size. We will see how long they last.

This is the first time I bought from the brand and this pair of sneakers is one of my favorite casual shoes. I have worn them a lot and with a full day of walking (in Brooklyn) and this is what I like best:- Super comfortable to the point of being able to walk a full day (with or without socks). Does not feel tight nor loose, good balance.- Big fan of the clean style with the red/blue color on the heel. Looks great with jeans and shorts.- I generally have leather shoes, but I really like the canvas material of these shoes, very breathable.- Incredible price, basically a no-brainer for me to buy.Will definitely look at other products from the brand, and maybe even buy another pair of these same sneakers (since white color does get dirtier). Highly recommended.

I wear size 8, but they’re a little tight, I recommend you get half a size bigger, other than that they’re great.

I was in the market for white shoes. Had a lot of choices but narrowed them all down to a pair of these. I was excited to unbox them until I came across a lot of Grey scuffs and stains spotted on my left shoe. The whole point of white shoes is to have them completely clean and I was pretty disappointed to receive them already dirty and stained. I was able to scrub out most of the stains but I'm still unhappy with my purchase.Other than that, the shoes fit true to size, they are a good looking style and I received a few compliments on them already.
