For the stations it picks up the reception is very good. The picture is sharp, crisp and solid. This describes the UHF frequency stations. Where I have a problem is the VHF frequency. Even the stations that are picked up are unstable at best. I live in a borough of NYC and my home is about 15 miles from the broadcast tower and VHF is not good at all. I tried the antenna with and without the included booster and there was no noticeable difference. All in all it's a very good antenna for the price. I've tried much more expensive ones that performed equal to or worse than this one. Hope this helps.Update: I tried laying the antenna flat and not upright and WOW what a difference. The VHF channels I was not getting are coming in clear and stable. I don't understand the the way TV frequencies are transmitted but this slight change made a world of difference for me.

Used for reception of local HD channels for large Dining room TV. On one wall it brought in all except 4 major channels, I was disappointed but worked with since had I not unboxed it till after 30days, due to a family death. I just changed the location of the TV and antenna to another wall in the same room; now its drawing all except 10 major channels. I am not happy with this product but can't get any recourse for it besides getting yet another (stronger than it claims) antenna.

A quality antenna for standard air wave stations

After much frustration, trying other indoor antennas that were SUPPOSED to bring in over the air channels, I tried this one as a LAST ONE. IF this didn't work, I was going to sign my mom up for the horrid Comcast - so that she could watch the local news in her Assisted Living apartment.Imagine my shock when this antenna immediately showed me clear channels - even BEFORE I scanned for channels. I was shocked to say the least. Very happy with this.When no other "top rated" indoor antenna worked, this one DOES.It brings in about 8 stations, and that is plenty for my 94 year old mom.It allows her to watch basic local tv without having to sign up for Comcast or Dish networks (overpriced, too many channels no one cares to watch, and frustrating customer service!)I am thrilled with this. The price is great for what we got! Thank you!

I was surprised to get 28 channels for free. I bought this antenna to get the Sacramento stations but I had no idea there were so many free stations out there. I did have hope of picking up the SF Bay Area stations but I am afraid the hills between the bay area and my home in Stockton are a bit too much of a challenge. So I would suspect that you might have the same problem if there are mountains or large buildings around your home. All in all I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone. BTW the bay area is only 75 miles as the crow flies from me but those hills around Mt. Diablo are a killer. Anyway I have HULU and this just tops it off for those got to see Raider games on My58.

I had old rabbit ears before but signal wasn't consistent when switching channels. With this one I pretty much get the majority of the channels with the exception of ABC. I have to move the antenna to get that. I have my antenna on the stand and it's between the TV and a wall. The closes window is about 10 ft away. I also get about 12 more channels than I did with the rabbit ears.

Even though I am located only 25 miles from the transmitting antennas reception was hot acceptable due to picture drop out and pixelation. I atribute this to the antenna being located indoors and my location being only a few mile from a large international airport with flights ever two to three minutes. I swapped this antenna out for an outdoor, rooftop antenna. With the new roof top antenna performance is excellent.

I was optimistic that the 120 mile range might help me get a few more channels in the mountainous area that we have a vacation cabin in...I currently get 1 channel. Unfortunately, this didn't help me with any more channels and the tower is only 50 miles away. Might work well for city dwellers or areas that are pretty flat, but I ended up sending it back.
