Roycroft Prada Portuguese Matelasse Bedspread/Sham Set, Queen Size, Natural

Depending on what you are looking for, this product might be slightly light weight for a bedspread. I think it is beautiful fabric, however, and use it as a lightweight high quality cotton blanket. Mostly cotton blankets are very expensive and are often undersized anyway. But cotton is must for three seasons a year in our climate. This spread is generous sized even on a king bed and shared by two. It is attractive in price compared to similar quality blankets- I paid $121. Plus, it can double as a bedspread. I waited to write this review until I had laundered the item twice. I meant to wash it in cold water, but somehow got my signals crossed and hit hot. It washed and dried beautifully with minimal wrinkles and no discernible shrinkage. Closeup photos after laundering show the color I chose, "natural," a warm creamy color.UPDATE: I had occasion to use chlorine bleach on this fabric (an accident with red wine, don't ask) and am happy to say that the spread washed impeccably. I continue to be impressed with how the spread emerges from the dryer virtually wrinkle and shrinkage free. It also drapes beautifully.Update August 2018: I have now used this cover every day for over 20 months and washed it numerous times since I purchased it 20 months ago. It continues to look as good as the day I received it. It washes beautifully. There are no pills, pulls, discoloration, fading, or unraveling. It comes out of the dryer without wrinkles. It provides light warmth, but is breathable due to the high partial cotton content. I still love this item.Update February 2022: I am still using this spread and it still looks great.

We are thoroughly enjoying our bedspread. It is sometimes hard to find a cover for the bed that isn't a comforter, but we wanted something that didn't require a bed skirt or dust ruffle. This spread is beautiful- it's lightweight, the taupe color is perfect(sort of two-toned), and the size is just right for a king size mattress that sits rather high. We had painted our bedroom a pale blue and the color of this spread went with it perfectly. We just added some blue throw pillows. I haven't washed it yet so I can give a review on that. We are very pleased so far.

It’s a beautiful mattlasee bedspread, more light weight than I’m used to in a mattlasse. Wish it had been a little thicker, but still nice.

I purchased white. It really lays beautifully and adds elegance to the room; however, I have a king-size bed with a very high mattress and it doesn't reach the floor on both sides of the bed. This is the perfect thickness and lightness for Spring/Summer.

The bedspread is a fine fit for my queen sized bed, even with today's thicker mistresses. I haven't washed it so I have no idea about shrinkage but I expect very little. The only bit of disappointment I had was in the pic of the spread it looked to have a bit more sheen to the looking the fabric, but not enough difference to consider sending it back. It looks like good quality material. I am happy with the purchase.

I'm so happy with this purchase! I love Matalasse and I love paisley and this bedspread has both. The color is very nice, fresh and delicate. Be sure to check the dimensions of both your bed and the bedspread. I wanted it very close to the floor so I measured across the middle of the bed and it's the perfect size.

It is the perfect weight and color. Quality is great. However, I really wanted it to touch the floor so I no longer had to use a dust ruffle...not even close.

This is a nice set. It's a little lighter in weight than I expected. The design is subtle and the color as depicted. I would buy from this seller again.
