This is a great composting bin. Its very large and doesn't have a bottom, so your compost has direct contact with the ground. The lid is also a nice feature that keeps critters out and the wind from flipping up the top. It took me about 10 minutes to put it together. The directions were very easy to follow. The best bin for the price!I was a little unsure about starting home composting, but now I will never go back! I purchased this with a small stainless steel bin with compost filter and bio bags to put inside and it is actually just as easy, if not easier to compost. I literally take the bio bag with my composting out and just toss it into the bin and I'm done - mother nature does the rest! There is less smell than I used to have with my trash (trashcan does not have a carbon filter) and I usually have less than a plastic grocery bag full of trash every week for me and my husband. Purchasing this product has drastically reduced our household waste!

It was easy to assemble, but hard to maintain a "square" when I put it on the ground, thus making the lid not fit quite correctly. I added composting materials and when it was time to turn it, the sides started separating. I resolved that by taking it apart, reassembling and holding the sides in place by driving stakes around all 4 sides to hold it together. The lid still doesn't quite fit right and I worry will fly off on a windy day.Otherwise, it is spacious and easy to dump the tons of veggie scraps and yard clippings into it.

There weren't any reviews when I ordered this so here's mine. This composter is big enough for a family of four. Yes. You could easily fit two adults and two kids in there. You wanna know how I know? We were playing hide and seek from the cat. There--I said it. But seriously it's nice, sturdy, German made, and green. It comes together in about 10 minutes with two kids 'helping ' by destroying the instructions. I'm using it on a patch of dirt (it doesn't have a bottom) and it has a lid that kinda locks strong enough to keep animals out but not strong enough to keep out three year olds who like to gaze at waste composting. We can't seem to fill it up with just table and cooking scraps. But we really need compost. Overall impression--great size for a family of four. If you add a cat it's uncomfortable.

Large in size, but the material is to thin and had to use zipe ties to keep it together and a concreate block at the bottom when I filled it.

I purchased this approximately 2 years ago and now that I've had time to use it here are my issues with it. Frankly it falls apart in particular the lower doors are always falling off. It sort of "snaps" together and never seems to stay that way. The lower door especially problematic as the clips are not as good as the corner ones. Forget about the top I don't think I've ever had it secured sufficiently. I would have been better off with just a ring of heavy gauge wire, but wanted something that looked a little better than that. would not recommend this unit.

This is not rugged at all. The clips do not hold so when I try to turn the compost and open the lower door, the whole box splits open. So, I am forced to turn the compost from the top and the sides still split (just not as bad). The sides are close to impossible to line up. I used bailing wire to hold it together but it's still a hassle.

This is the best gardening tool I purchased this summer. Last year I used to collect the grass into those paper bags, left them by the road and the waste management vehicle collected them once a week. Those days are over. I just dump everything into this box now and that is it. One could argue this but for best result I keep the top cover open and keep the box just right under the roof where the rain drains into the box...

Shipped quickly, easy to assemble, easy to load but critters tore off the bottom door the first night and every night until I wrapped bungee cords around it at the bottom. Success!

Fácil de instalar pero muy delgado el material. No me dejo satisfecho y mejor repare el compostero que tenía y lo cambie.Las bisagras muy frágiles.

Ya llevo varios meses con el. He ido echando hierba seca y demás. Es muy frágil. Con el tiempo el peso de todo lo que se echa es considerable y como son 4 paredes de plástico, se va separando porque no aguanta el peso. No es barato para lo que es. La tapa superior debido al viento se fue volando varias veces hasta que le puse una piedra. Y el cuerpo lo termosellé, las 4 paredes las hice 1 y así se mantiene de 1 pieza. Si pudiese volver atras no lo compraria.

sostanzialmente è troppo delicato. E'facile buttarci la roba dentro. Più difficile sxarà svuotarlo senza romperlo

Very easy to put together, however one of the two compost removal flaps broke off. The 'hinges' are extremely fragile and if the unit is not exactly square when assembling, the flap hinges can easily break. Fortunately there is a removal flap on both sides, so the composter is still useable.
