A must have for anxiety and hand strengthening
Very squishy softGreat for my anxiety as well as keeping my hands occupied since I tend to pick at my cuticles which in turn results in my peeling my skin sometimes to the point of pain. I would enthusiastically suggest this. I also enjoy the nose eyes and ears expanding.

PANIC PETE!!
My mom gave me a Panic Pete a few years back and I loved him. The one that I had broke, so I bought a new one here on Amazon and he’s just like the Panic Pete I had before! He’s such a cool little gadget to have. I squeeze him from time to time, but usually I just keep him in his box because he’s special. Love him, would recommend!

Not as soft as the older pned
Still works but without as much pop as the 80’s one. My great granddaughter won’t know the difference, but I do.

Panic Pete is a Panic
I was introduced to this wonderfully stress relieving toy by another satisfied owner who has had it for years. She loaned it to me at a time of great stress and it came in very handy, truly relieving anxiety and stress. I liked Panic Pete so much that I bought one of my own. That purchase, however, yielded a Pete whose nose did not function properly. I didn't return it because it just wasn't worth the trouble. I had a few extra dollars and purchased a second Panic Pete and this one came through in perfect condition, with nose, eyes, and ears all bulging out when Pete was squeezed. He's a favorite around my house for relieving stress and anxiety. I liked it so much that I wanted to purchase one for my students. I'm a special education teacher in a girls' high school and many of the students have anxiety issues along with learning disabilities and other emotional issues. I accidentally got onto the page with Bug Out Bob, who looks the same, but is built slightly differently and doesn't work as well as Panic Pete. My students still love him and use him frequently to relieve their stress, to stop biting fingernails, etc. The amazing thing is that it doesn't distract them and some of them have ADHD! I would definitely stick with Panic Pete by Schylling because the effect is so much better. It's a great toy and stress reliever. It would also make a terrific gift and it's definitely not for just kids. Adults love it too! You won't be disappointed in Panic Pete--he's a lot of fun.

It is what it is...
You know, I review just about everything I get from Amazon, and I was going to pass on this one (for what do you really say about a squeeze Panic Pete)? But then I thought of the reason I got two and how important the reason, I decided to write one. My 10 year old son is a gamer...when he is playing one handed, his other hand stays busy on various items - the problem is one of the most resent items were a very expensive pair of headphones I let him use. But he did not use them as headphones...he used them to occupy his fidgeting hand. In a short time, the headphones were turned to scrap. Out went $200.00. Next he was playing with a Leatherman I gave him for camping...you, you guessed it, he broke it (did not even think you could breaks those. Last he had a simple stone coaster with a felt bottom...yup, desk scratched all up! I had enough....did a little research...saw these...gave them too him...Problem solved! He loves them. Keeps him busy and saves me lots of money.UPDATE: 2-8-12: In all fairness, this unit may have not be meant for my 10 year old son as a device to keeps his active and fidgety hands safely busy while gaming. Apparently, since my original review that was only given a day's time before publishing...both toys have gone defective. I can se what is wrong, but can't prove it was from overuse, abuse or each done defective. In either case, they did not serve its purpose. Due to this, I am adding this experience for the reviewers as to help...and I lowered the durability a bit. I still believe it would make a great novelty that neither was in the constant hand use or in a child's environment. Given that, it is what it is...a novelty. I will continue my search for something that occupies his hands, as not to destroy y more of my household valued items...and at the same time, keep him interested with a more durable item. Stay tuned:)
