Ba Tampte Half Sour Pickles 32.0 OZ (Pack of 2)

I cannot get sour or half sour pickles like this where I live. The supermarkets and stores don’t carry these pickles, or anything like it that I’ve been able to get, and I’ve tried many. These have the closest thing to the deli-bought kosher pickle taste I’m accustomed to from my earlier years living near delicatessens. I’ve ordered the Ba-Tampte half sour pickles from Amazon before. Sometimes they’re very crisp, like the ones I just got, and sometimes they’re not so crisp. But they always have the flavor I love. If you’re looking for the usual dill pickle taste you get with the brand-name typical pickles, this isn’t it. Which for me is a great thing.

I very much like this product. However, two jars arrived today 11/30 via UPS. Label says it was picked up 11/22 (8 days in transit). One jar had a swollen cap. Both jars had cloudy brine. I tasted one pickle and threw is out. Tasted funny. My guess is the pickles got frozen. I won't eat them and want to be compensated. I'd be happy to return them so you know I'm not fibbing.

Delicious, just like I remember from my NYC days. Best Half-Sours, this side of Brooklyn!If your jars arrive fizzing, not to worry. This is a fermented item, and the process starts up again when the jars are out of refrigeration. The pickles are just ageing quickly. You could actually do this on purpose if the pickles are too New. Just leave the jars on the counter, with the lids loosely screwed on for a few days. The cloudiness is also natural. Enjoy!

The packaging was amazing with an ice pack and pickles inside a thermal bag to keep them cold. However I could not rat the pickles they tasted bad and I don't know if they were not kept cold enough or they are supposed to taste like that but I will never buy them again.

Should have done my homework. There are several other pickles of the same type in there half the price. All on Amazon

I already reported this, but package came damaged; one of the bottles of pickles apparently opened in transit, liquid got all over the package. I threw out the bottle that had opened.You already contacted me about this but I hadn't answered. I couldn't take a picture so I will not be making a claim. But the remaining pickles were delicious.

Until Amazon, I couldn't find these pickles outside of New York City. Imagine my joy when I found them on Amazon.com! They are Half Sour - neither sweet nor sour - a magical combination that can't be beat !They arrived packed securely in bubble wrap, then a leak proof aluminum bag so they arrived safe and sound and ready to enjoy!Thank you !!!

If I could give this zero stars I would! My husband loves sour pickles and they are becoming more difficult to purchase in the store so I got them here. First, they came uber wrapped in bubble wrap and those awful package worms-lots of them!!! The jars were large and the liquid looked milky. We put these large jars in the fridge as the package said to do so (even if not opened yet) When my husband finally opened the jar, the pickles actually bubbled and did not taste good...so we are pitching them out. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
