Helmut Newton. SUMO: Celebrating 20 Years of Sumo

This is a great quality book, well worth the cost. Do sometimes wish he’d not focused quite so much on “Naked Ladies”, but a fantastic photographer.

I bought this as a 70th b- day present and my friend was absolutely delighted!

Hi just wanted to confirm the item I bought. It was sold with minor wear but good and it was as described. There was some dust marks on the box and the bottom of the dust over spine was torn but still there. Other than that the book was as if it had never been read. Really happy. I can put up with the marks.

First off this book is huge. Not quite as big as the limited print first edition that came with its own Philip starck stand (and cost upwards of $10,000) But it’s still a sizeable and heavy beast. Perfect for a sturdy coffee table. The quality of the printing is first rate, as with all Taschen publications. Beautiful models photographed beautifully. What else could you want? A must for all lovers of photography and fashion.

Pretty gutted how this has arrived. The book itself is in tact but the sleeve it is presented in is bashed in on one corner. Wouldn’t have minded so much had the book been a lot cheaper but at £64 I’m not happy about it.

Helmut is the original, followers have been inspired by him but Helmut had the & talent ability to be at the right place at the right time & create the unique style setting ambience to capture & preserve the magic vibe of the moment that we can still feel strongly through his pictures. H.N. is Truly Iconic & Probably why Helmut is the only photographer with a his own museum devoted to him in Berlin!

El libro es bellísimo, pero la calidad en cuanto al envío es mala, parece que lo lanzaron de un 5to piso, todas las esquinas están fuertemente golpeadas.

届いて開封してびっくりしたのは、その判型の大きさに圧倒された事です。 なんと、A3サイズもあるのです。 おまけに、フル・フロンタルヌードの女性の函箱までついている。 ただ、内容はエロティックではなく、かなり、アーティスティックな内容に仕上がっています。 おそらく、女性が鑑賞しても、それほど抵抗感はないように作られています。 もちろん、その点数のほとんどが「モノクロ」です。 エロは期待する男性諸君は、洋物のスキンマグでも個人輸入で取り寄せた方が良いです。 女性がこの本を所有していても特別、変ではないです。

Un libro eccezionale, sia per la qualità del materiale e della carta che per il contenuto. Se si ama Newton e la fotografia , è un libro da non perdere. Certamente dato il suo peso a la sua grandezza, è un volume da consultare e conservare in un ambiente protetto. Amazon impeccabile come sempre, il libro è arrivato perfettamente integro.
