My kid got interested in chess because of this book, and defeated me couple of times too.

Waste of money

very good book to learn chess with

My 7 year old son picked it right up and began to try it out. That lasted a few days - need to get him going again. I tell you, this is a good book for starters, you need to play to get there though.
