We've bought this before and we'll buy it again
We've bought this before and we'll buy it again. It is so easy to use and looks beautiful. I love that it provides privacy but still lets in light, and the little rainbows it makes are charming. I recommend you use a lot of water when applying so you can slide it sround easily and get it lined up, and then use an exacto knife or box cutter to trim the edges. We get a perfect application every time.

Great for blocking views but not natural light
This is our first front door that has glass. While I tried to get used to having a see through front door, I just couldn't shake that feeling I was being watched. We have some etched glass and some clear parts. I looked into buying some tint film thinking it had a one way mirror effect all the time, not just during the day. However that's not a thing that I'm aware of. I found this film and I liked the look. Since it matched our original door glass style I decided to give it a try. I don't have before and after pictures sadly, just after.Installation was rather simple, however I recommend having an extra set of hands to help. I would also use a box cutter instead of a scissor to cut your desired sizing. I had to go back with a box cutter to fix my jagged scissor cuts. Once I had it cut I did a few dry runs (Leaving film on ) and verifying that I didn't have any edges sticking up that would prevent it from adhering properly. Once I liked the dry fit I removed the backing and got to work. Make sure to apply plenty of water... and I mean lots of misted water. I used distilled water in a fine mist sprayer. I used distilled because we have very hard water here and I wasn't sure if spots would remain after it dried. Looking back it probably wouldn't be an issue. I used our shower squeegee to smooth out the air bubbles. It took all of five minutes to get it installed once cut. Not bad at all.Once I sprayed the glass the window film just sticks on. Having a second set of hands would have helped placing the bottom portion and the top portion exact. It took some working but I was able to move the film to where it needed to go. After my first attempt I realized I didn't spray enough water because it didn't move as freely as I would have liked. Once i sprayed liberally it was much easier to shift and drag the film to where it needed to go.All in all it looks really well and my wife was surprised to see it done so easily. It looks so good IMO that it could be confused for the real thing. It makes the view blurry enough to make out colors and shapes but not clear enough to see anything like see through glass. Granted if you put your face right up to it you can see through the clear specs, but if someone wants to look that closely who am I to deny them.

Super easy and clean solution to a clear window!
The media could not be loaded. This product is so easy to install and looks super pretty. A great solution for clear windows you need some privacy on, but that you don’t want to blur permanently. It couldn’t be easier to remove the panels once installed, though that’s the only reason I took a star off. Because you install with water, the edges are tough to get down fully. That said, you really can’t notice, it’s just not as smooth as something adhesive. The rainbows you get as a result are a bonus!

Simple beauty, privacy with a prism
I had no issues installing; however, I flunked cutting all the way back in kindergarten, so without guidelines my skills were tested. Even using a yardstick proved a problem for me and I think that issue is rare for most people. At least, I hope that is the case.I found the product easy to place and then it has stayed in place, even with -30 wind chill winds blown at the covered panes.I find that in the winter months, more than adequate sun gets in and has reduced my need for heating. Will see what happens in summer, if it ever comes. And I did a bit of testing for privacy and at worst one can see vague outlines, but no detail. So that is great news. The kicker for me is the color prisms the covering creates. I like color but too much pattern or too wacky of a color scheme and I struggle to feel comfortable. I hung this product in my master bed and bath. I added the pictures, which fall a bit short in showing the beautiful and restful effects, when the sun is shining directly or indirectly. The mostly white photo attempts to show the prism effect on walls across from the window. One photo is "this is how it looks most of the time" photo, including a close up. I am now thinking of redoing the front windows in this same pattern. So glad I decided on this product and this option specifically.

It’s ok, could have been better ...
Overall I cannot give more than 3 stars to this product. Though it may be slightly higher than 3.Here are some good things about it -. From the front side (frosted side) its giving a good impression. It does look as if it is patterned glass. The purpose of installing this was to reduce glass transparency while looking aesthetically good. It serves this purpose well.. In terms of installation, it was relatively easy to install though struggled a bit to cut it into the right shape. But that is ok, that’s more of your skill.Things that didn’t work -. For those who have installed military grade screen protectors, it will turn out to be a similar experience. It needs that you use water, spray it on the glass and then stick the sheet on the glass. And after that use a flat edge to squeeze out all water from underneath the sheet. These are not the kind of instructions you would get in the package. So that’s the first not so good thing about this.. Secondly, even if you try hard, squeezing out water may not be that easy and it would leave some air bubbles. Please check the pictures to see it. They don’t go away easily.. Thirdly, it comes as rolled sheet. So when you are pasting it on a flat surface, the edges will not stick easily. So roll it in the reverse direction first to flatten the sheet fully.Overall, it’s ok, some glue at the back of the sheet might have helped.
