Ella Mae Women's Modest Swimsuit: 3/4 Sleeve Swim Shirt & Long Swim Skirt w/Leggings UPF 50+

Ok, I haven't used this to swim yet. I just received this yesterday, but I am in love. Anyone who has had the lovely pleasure of standing in an elevator with all of your jiggly bits and ugly veins sticking out with nothing but a tiny towel seperating you from the fully dressed people standing next to you can understand the horror of what it is to go "swimming" with your children at a hotel pool. Or, how about the fun times to be had at the huge themed water park where they won't let you wear your cover up as you ascend a thousand stairs with your butt cheeks in someone's face? I am not Muslim or Pentacostal or any other version of religion that requires me to wear covered up modest clothing. If you are, then is also the bathing suit for you! Since having children and not having the super taut skin and belly of my youth, I have tried to find ways to enjoy being at a pool or beach with some semblance of dignity left intact. Haven't found anything that works without serious issues. The best I have found were the bathing suits with little skirts attached, but even they don't quite cover the unsightly spots and the skirt floats up in the water, leaving all of that gorgeous cellulite exposed. Cover ups either must be removed at some point or else they cling to you like swamp mud and seaweed. Somehow, I stumbled upon this bathing suit and thought I would take a chance on it even though it's pricey and I don't need it immediately for any reason. I wasn't too concerned about the reviews about smaller top and bigger bottom, because, well, that sums me up pretty well. Fyi, they sell the peices seperately so you can get different sizes if you need. I am 5' 3", 150ish and the large fit absolutely perfectly. It could accommodate someone a bit larger, I would think, but I really have an aversion to tight clothing. In this swimsuit, I look super cute, like I could wear this out to lunch or something. I got the banana leaves, which I have a small obsession with, and the colors are vibrant and fun. I could stand in an elevator without embarrasment, or climb stairs for days. I did buy a swim sports bra thing to wear underneath the shirt, as there isn't any support or padding or anything. It is a pricey investment, but worth every penny to keep you respectable. I got the long skirt length, and the legging things underneath help to hold everything in and even cut off at a becoming spot just below the knees. The a-line skirt is slimming and attractive. I am sure it will float up in the water, but at least the leggings will keep you covered. I probably would not want to actually wear this for a night out (although if it were made in breathable cottony fabrics I certainly would in a heartbeat), because it is spandex and I think it would be hot and uncomfortable over long stretches. For the first time in years, instead of trying to come up with 100 ways to avoid being seen in public in a bathing suit, I am plotting ways to get out in mine asap!

If you are looking for a modest swim suit, this one is amazing! Id say the shirt runs a little tight so if that bothers you size up. Im usually a size 8 and i ordered a medium. The skirt with the leggings attatched are so comfortable and fit really well. I love this set because you look good, while still being modest. Cant wait to hit the beach in it!

I love this suite! Very comfortable material and lightweight! I followed the advice from another reviewer who said that the top ran small-The top is a bit smug, so I ordered a size up. Overall happy with my purchase.

Very nice quality fabric and garment construction. The colors are beautiful and it feels soft and comfortable. Edited to add: I wore this in swimming pools and the ocean. The fabric feels hot in the sun but quite comfortable with high humidity. It is very easy to swim in, I was surprised! The sun protection was excellent! I will definitely buy another swim outfit from this brand in the future!

I ordered the Large size. I wear large in everything and have an average body. The shirt was too small and the skirt/pants were too large. I guess I need an XL shirt and Med skirt. Weird. The top also came with snags in the fabric like it caught on someone's earrings or something when they were trying it on. For this price, I expect it to be perfect out of the wrapper. I REALLY hope the next attempt works out because I have been looking for a pretty, feminine swimsuit/skirt that provides protection from the sun.

I normally wear a medium skirt, I bought a large... it’s a little smaller near the top of my butt, but def does not cup because of the A-line. Big in the waist, so I took it in, in the waist area. Nicer than other Apostolic swim skirts I’ve ordered!😊

I love it, it fit nicely and looks good. Couldn’t be any happier. Well worth the cost.
