Doona Infant Car Seat & Latch Base – Love (Red) – US Version

I purchased this stroller in green from a different site and I could not be happier with my purchase. Strangers come up to me all the time and ask me about it. It is super easy to use and it transitions from carseat to stroller smoothly and quietly so you don't wake your baby up. There are however a few cons:1. When it is in carseat mode it is extremely HEAVY (it’s around 15lbs by itself while a standard baby carrier is about 2lbs) although you'll probably be like me and never use it as a baby carrier.2. It is very wide in carseat mode, so if some jerk parked too close to you it will be a real struggle to get inside.3. It has no storage and don't even think about putting a heavy diaper bag or shopping bag on the handle bar, it will tip over pretty easily. I purchased the essentials bag from doona, it is a bag designed to clip on to the handle bar and it works great, but you still have to keep the weight thing in mind.The fact that it's so convenient really outweighs these cons for me. I live in Seattle where it rains every day and being able to get my daughter in and out of the car fast without getting myself soaking wet is so worth it. I also love how small it is, I don't take up the entire elevator or waiting room at the doctors office. If I have another baby I'm definitely buying this again. I'll be really sad when she gets too big for it.UPDATEMy daughter is a few days away from her first birthday and we are still using this and love it just as much as when she was a little baby. My biggest concern before I bought this was that she would get too big for it before I got my $500 worth of use out of it. Thankfully that has not been the case. At 22lbs she’s not small either. We have not purchased a different stroller or car seat, we used this one the entire time. There have been no problems with it over the past year. I fully expect to be able to use this until she turns 2 and is ready for a forward facing seat. I hope this helps any of you parents out there who are concerned that you won’t get enough use out of it to justify paying that much. After a year of use I still highly recommend this product.

 This thing is AWESOME! Whenever I see parents struggling to get their car seat out and attach it to their stroller base OR heaven forbid get their baby out of a car seat and into a stroller, I feel sorry for them (and mentally gloat, tbh).When I get out of my car I pick up my car seat and it turns into a stroller and I roll out. The baby doesn't wake up or even notice! The other day, my husband and I just pulled the Doona out, rolled into a restaurant, had a whole lunch date and our baby never woke up or noticed....True - our baby is only 3 weeks old HOWEVER I am fairly sure this thing has already paid for itself in convenience. This thing could fall apart and turn to dust in 3 months and I'd still sing its praises an buy another one. No joke. It seems really sturdy though so I'm sure it'll be fine.....some people did complain about the weight of it and yea, it's kind of heavy when you have to carry it as just a car seat... BUT GUESS WHAT? I don't do that.. b/c I just press the button on the Doona, pop it into Transformers mode (car seat, more than meets the eye!) and I roll it.. who needs to carry this anywhere? why would you? it's one button to turn it into a stroller so I just stroll in and stroll out.. the only time I ever need to carry it is the half a second when I'm getting it out of the car and pressing the button or the 30 seconds it takes me to place the car seat next to my booth at dinner.. b/c I can do dinner out.. b/c my baby NEVER WAKES UP FROM THE CARSEAT.Boom. Case Closed. 10/10 would buy again; would be a Doona spokesperson for free; would wrap my car in Doona ads; would be buried with this car seat.. I mean stroller.Edit: added a video of my husband playing with our Doona straight of the box.. no lessons or confusion involved.

I loved this car seat/stroller, but unfortunately, my son has outgrown it at just 4 months old. He's pretty chunky, and his shoulders now exceed the width of the side impact walls. It has also become extremely heavy and awkward to place into the car, while my baby is in it. Otherwise, I love the concept. It's convenient, rides smoothly, stylish, and compact enough to squeeze through narrow spaces; Which is why I would still recommend it. But for $500, your child quickly outgrowing it, is something to definitely consider.

This is one item I’m glad I spent my money on. It’s so convenient and easy to use. I am a mom of three and it makes maneuvering my life and outings easier.One thing to note is that it is very heavy in car seat mode. I’m 5’9’ 190 lbs and it is heavy for me. I had a c-section and definitely couldn’t carry this in the beginning but was so happy I could easily put the wheels down. My baby was 7.9 lbs and now weights 11 lbs at one month and she still has room to grow. My husband can carry it fine. He is also comfortable strolling it. He is 6'2".Update:We are going into month 4 and I still love it. A few things I have noticed:pros:1. Easy to use2. Works great with Brica carseat canopy, sunshades, carseat covers, etc.cons:1. Heavy2. no storage (but I bought the attachable bag and use that when shopping03. infant head support is thick and hot (for my baby)4. Handle seems a bit "loose/wobbly".
