Solid Product, Keep Snakes at Arm’s Length
Update: used this for the first time today, a baby rattler was in the neighbor’s yard. The snake was curling all over the place, trying to strike me. The snake grabber held tight, didn’t let the snake get near, and allowed me to dump the snake in the canyon. Great product. Recommended for anyone living near snakes.Original Post: Solid product will work well for capturing snakes. I had used a professional product for getting rid of a diamondback, but since it was borrowed, I needed a replacement. This is the closest I could find. The wires are hidden inside the tubing. The clamp is sturdy, and the handle is easy to use. It will slip under a snake and clamp down on it easily. You do need to be careful to maintain your grip until you are ready to dump the snake, otherwise you will drop it and it will be irritated (not good).

Rattlesnakes
The photos are of two separate incidents with Rattlesnakes within a month. The Snake grabber pole has worked well. Rattlesnakes are the only kind of snake that we will catch like this because of their venomous nature. All other snakes are allowed to go about their business on the property. Encountering a rattlesnake can be unnerving, even if you have done it many times. I recommend this snake pole it has worked for us., my teenage granddaughter has used it without any problems. The pole is a good length and definitely worth the money not to get bit. I like that it’s blue so I can spot it quickly among the tools and shovels. I haven’t had anything break even though I did read some reviews that that was an issue for some other people. I would always check the snake pole that it’s working and the lock is working prior to picking up a snake with it. Keep your distance and slide the grabber under the snake as close up to the head as you feel, you can to prevent it from having too much access to strike. If you are using this for a rattlesnake, just be aware that even after they’ve been decapitated, they move around for hours and can still bite you and can still release venom. So they aren’t anything to mess around with. We use feed bags that are empty and drop the head in there double bag and send them straight to the dumpster. I don’t like to bury the head in case an animal digs it up. They could potentially be bit.

Makes "Handling" rattlesnake problems a one-person operation
Easy grab. I like the lock on the handle so that I can dispatch the problem without anyone else. The grabber is solidly built and super strong. I only wish the handle lock would operate at any squeeze. To lock it, the handle has to be fully squeezed. It worked find for this little snake in the picture, but I fear that a much thicker snake might not allow the locking mechanism to work. Still 5 stars though, since my hypothetical "complaint" hasn't happened yet.

Great for catching critters
A creek runs behind our house. We caught both a snake and a lizard with this. My husband was able to relocate them away from our house. The snake got into the garage when we were unloading looking for a cool place to nap. The lizard was chasing spiders. Easy to grip, very well built and great for keeping distance between you and said critter. Sturdy and reasonably priced.
