I got this kit for my niece for her birthday. It has everything you need and she loved it.

So cute and great kit with everything you need!!! Has all the tools to make your own candles.The only criticism I would give, but I don’t believe it’s worth removing a star for it is the lack of detailed instructions.It doesn’t say how much wax to use (there are 4 bags and 6 small containers), but I read online that you pretty much measure how much dry wax you can fill in your container, times 2, ok that was fixable.It also doesn’t say how much dye or essential oils to use (it says something like “enough” or “the right amount”... ok what’s the right amount?). It’s great to leave room for creativity, but as it’s a kit for beginners, maybe have a “range” like between 6 drops and 12 drops or something like that.No instructions for the use the thermometer. I guessed I’d leave it inside the wax until it stagnates more or less.And lastly the broiler (once again no instructions), is great if used alone on the stove (do not hold it without gloves, handle gets hot, or wait till it cools down), but not great if used as a DOUBLE broiler (with another pot filled with water underneath), because it will tilt to the side and keep moving and still gets hot, just not very practical. I tried it alone, worked great.The little stickers for the wick don’t always work, I found using wax is better: Dip the bottom of the wick in the melted wax, then stick it to the bottom of your container, wait a while (maybe a good 15min), then you can poor the rest of the wax (you have to wait till it cools down anyway so it times out perfectly).

It was easy to make the candles, and they did turn out super cute, but we felt that the instructions were lacking. For example, it didn’t say how many drops of the fragrance oil to put in, so our first candles didn’t smell like anything! A lot of trial and error.

I don’t know nor care about how they end up burning but this is a great craft/gift. I did them for my 3 year olds Mother’s Day gifts to family. He loved making them, lots of learning opportunities and they look beautiful

This is such a perfect beginner candle set. Made my first candle yesterday and it was so easy. The only thing that I did not care for was it to the scent bottles had leaked so the smell inside the box was very strong and 2 of the bottles had nothing left in them. I do have to say I’m grateful that the scent bottles Were packed very well, so I’m not really sure how they left but they did. Overall I’m very pleased other than those two small things I would buy again for sure.

I bought this kit as a fun thing to do with my nieces, however it kind of fell flat. Some of the instructions were not very clear and didn’t look the same as what we received. (e.g. picture shows seven oils, only received six) That wasn’t a huge deal, the bigger disappointment was that the wax would not melt! It took forever to get it hot enough. We had to set up a double broiler on the stove for the wax to even begin getting warm. Although it was a fun idea and we did eventually get to make candles, it just seemed more trouble than it was worth.

This kit was better than expected! It came beautifully packaged. It had more than enough was to make all the included vessels for candles and more. Quality was top tier in comparison to other arts and craft kits I’ve done with my kiddos. Instructions were easy to follow. Came with all the things needed to complete the project. Highly recommend! Wallet for what you get to what you pay here is well worth it.

I love candles and have thought multiple times about attempting to make my own. I bought this kit after reading the reviews. It was so easy to use. The kit had plenty of wax to make two candles. I didn’t use the scents so I cannot speak to that. I used a Chai Tea scented oil I have. I gave both the candles as gifts and have been told they love them and want me to make them more. Excited to use this kit to make more candles once I get more wax and candleholders.
