The eyes were open and I did not have to fight threading the line. Nice pattern. Used for elephant hunting, I mean trout fishing on the Gunnison.

For the price these aren't bad. Tied them on and caught several trout that were rising. A little flotation to keep them on the surface and you are good to go

Great little flies to toss on a two weight. Little native char seem to love them. Rainbow trout as well! Not a bad Little thing to have in the fly box.

Don't get me wrong, the product is good, but I was expecting tiny flies for spring fishing... hatchlings are small and in the spring fish are looking for tiny bugs... also in the high Uintahs bugs never grow big...
