Works great
I installed this in shampoo bowl where I wash lots of hair. There is a hair strainer that catches most the hair, but this catches hair that gets past the strainer. It's easy to see when it is starting to get clogged and can be easily cleaned out.

This works!
We love this under our bathroom sink. We've used one for years. It's easy to open the end and get the hair and gunk out to keep the drain free flowing.

poor quality product, poor customer service.
I received this product in a timely manner, however upon arrival and inspection I found this product to be of poor quality. The fittings use cheap rubber O-rings that will not remain water tight unless a large amount of pipe-dope and luck are used to keep them together. I used to be a plumber for over 4 years and am well able to work with these types of materials. I contacted Salon Supply Store which I can only assume is the same as Quick Clean who told me they would perform "testing" on a few of these products to see if they in fact did have problems, a week or so later they contacted me to let me know they could find to problems with the product. They told me that they would however, process the refund but I would have to pay for the return shipping and the shipping it cost them to send me the product...nearly the cost of the item. I do NOT recommend this product nor will I ever do business with Salon Supply Store ever again.

Better than any alternative I've ever found.
Went together easily. I used commonly-available plastic drain piping (slip-joint waste arms, in series) to manage a tight cabinet situation, with no need for a wrench; only hand tightened; no leaks. I particularly like the clear plastic, which allows me to EASILY see any build-up, in advance of periodic cleaning; although translucent white plastic can be observed with use of intense LED backlighting, for view of build up of water, this is obviously better. The provision for both 1 1/2" and 1 1/4" drain piping is useful, but 1 1/4" might need help from additional rubber (square cross section) gasket to preclude nuisance leak.I have used improvised hair-traps in my residential bathroom lavatories, for at least 10 years. They have been tedious and messy to maintain (monthly) though far preferable to snaking my Byzantine upstairs in-wall drain pipes. Some houses are more cursed, than others, with in-wall bends in drain pipes. And obviously, some people put more lint and hair into the drain than do others. Yes, of course I use preliminary strainers in bottoms of lavatories, easily cleaned, daily. In about six months, I should know if this hair trap snares gunk as well as my improvised hair traps did; they eliminated need for snaking pipes.Tip: Use a simple hand pump (Harbor Freight item 61364/66418) to empty hair trap of waste water, before opening it up for periodic removal of hair.

Got that HAIR !!
This is a great item. This is my second hair trap. I only bought this one because the other one is 6 years old and nothing is wrong with it. I was worried so I thought I should get one just in case of a mayhave. Very durable in everyway. This is one item that will last. easy to hook up, and very easy to remove the hair out of the trap. Please wear gloves, and put a large bowl under the sink to catch the water when you remove the trap screw. Keep the bowl under the sinks for any leaks from the trap just to be safe. It takes abouts 4 minutes to clean out the trap and clean up. Through Color, Relaxer and Conditioners in the trash to keep the water line Clear and running free.

Works well
A very good replacement for salon shampoo sink drains. Direct bolt-in for existing P-traps. Update, don't overtighten fitting as this can strip the plastic threads particularly the cleanout cap, if you do get a leak on cleanout check for cracks in the cap.

worked
the only problem with these is they leak at the out side of the trap when using a wall elbow it's hard to get the nut tight
