Treasure Island: The Graphic Novel (Campfire Graphic Novels)

A weak adaptation of an amazing book. Poor dialog, poor art, heavily abridged. Really, just go read the original.

The title says it all. What boy wouldn't? He passed the book to his younger sister and she liked it too.

Used this as a literature unit for my 3rd and 4th grade class. They loved it. The pictures were great. The story is well told, although a few things were left out that I would have appreciated. Still, it was a great introduction to the story for my students.

I'm introducing my middle grade readers to classics. And this book was great. Full color illustrations.

I am so happy to be able to introduce the classics to my grandchildren through the graphics editions. They love them, too!!

Habe dieses Graphic Novel für meinen Nachhilfeschüler besorgt, um ihm die Klassiker auf die etwas leichtere Art und Weise schmackhaft zu machen. Natürlich wurde es gekürzt, das ist selbstverständlich, dennoch hätte ich mir ein paar mehr Seiten gewünscht, die die Story genauer und detailierter erzählen. Besonders gegen Schluss wirkt es sehr knapp. Die Zeichnungen sind ok, allerdings nicht besonders liebevoll.Für den Preis ganz ok und erfüllt seinen Zweck, aber es gibt bessere...

A all time classic with interesting graphics. Can grow the interest in new readers for the main novel.

Works well in the classroom with lower level readers. We can all read the same novel in a readable format.
