(original review below) It turns out that the problem with my device was a faulty power cord. The product gets 4 stars for working beautifully, but having a faulty power cord. I also find the power cord to be too short to mount in my car and comfortably reach the charging port without interfering with my driving. Using my own long cord solves this problem.The Seller was very responsive and offered to replace the product (which I did not take them up on because I had a power cord that I could use). 5 stars for a great seller!(Original review)The wireless charging function lasted exactly one day. It quit mid-charge while I was driving and I never could get it to charge again. Dangit.I love the styling and positioning flexibility. It adhered to my dash better than another model that I tried. The automatic grab adjustment worked well...when it worked. It never did work consistently. It would often open and grip the phone initially, but would usually not "let go" when I needed to retrieve my phone. Sometimes it would not even open up to receive the phone. Fortunately I was able to slid my phone down into it easily enough.

I like the idea of having a wireless car charger that can detect when I'm going to put my phone in place, but in practice it isn't all that great. For starters the motor that allows the device to open and close is very slow and very loud. Its much faster to simply plug in a cable and put your phone into a button press style holder. The quality of the materials seem shoddy as well and by that I mean things aren't as smooth as they could be and are rough to move and don't move in the way that you might want them to move. Most importantly the charging function on this device is beyond slow. I put my phone on the charger with 71 percent battery and it said total time to full was over an hour. Over one hour to charge the phone 29 percent. A hamster wheel could probably do a better job.

This is actually the second smartphone holder that I've purchased for my pickup truck. I liked it so much that I figured it would be great to have one for the passenger (usually my wife) who often takes over as the navigator so I can keep my eyes on the road. Earlier this year, I received a ticket for about $180 because I was reaching for my smartphone and the state trooper wrote me up for not wearing a seatbelt so I didn't receive any points but even with the best available phone holder, a quick adjustment on the GPS can cause a violation even though there wasn't any traffic in the area. My wife wasn't with me and I haven't had any additional problems since I relocated my first phone holder to prevent taking my eyes off the road. It dawned on me that I haven't seen any vehicles with a phone holder provided for the passenger which seems like a great idea, especially if you have a passenger often. My wife and I both have large and heavy smartphones and this unit finally keeps our phones secure with the extra benefit of wireless charging. Great product.

Sadly this product will only work if your phone is "naked" meaning no case on it. I have used this case on my Samsung 8+ for 3 years. It has worked on EVERY QI charger I own. With the case on the jaws close but no charging. Remove the case and it charges just fine. Had I known I wouldn't have spent the extra money for the QI charging. The jaws and motor seem very cheap. The touch system works well. It also comes with 2 different vent clips and a suction mount. I guess we'll see how long this lasts as a standard phone holder.

Love the way looked and, after reading the great reviews, I purchased one. The main reason for the purchase was that the clamps would fit around a ArmadilloTek Vanguard (Designed for Samsung Galaxy S10 Case (2019 Release) Military Grade Full-Body Rugged with Kickstand Without Built-in Screen Protector -Yellow). It worked just fine for about a week then the clamps started opening and closing on their own. I haven't been able to figure out why and I haven't heard of this happening to anyone else. That being said, maybe I just got a bad unit.

Charging isn’t as fast as it claims. Most times the suction cup doesn’t stay put and you constantly have to keep pushing down on it. Also any heavy phone like mine (iPhone XS Max) loosens the screw mount and it starts tilting the phone downwards as you hit bumps while driving. Overall it’s not the worst but I’m sure there’s better out there.

I love it. I surprised me one night , it changes colors. So cool.Update as of 3/11/2020It has started opening and closing at will. I unplugged and replugged it, seem ok for a day, then back to opening and closing. Bow it will not charge my phone at all. Oh it opens and give me the light show, but wint charge now.so I have to drop a star for that

Honestly for the price it's a bit overrated. The charging is so slow to the point that if I'm charging and listening to music through an app the battery drains faster than it charges. Everytime I hit a but by phone falls out.... so it's safe to say I donated to someone's business for a not so pleasant cause.
