Quiet!
Bought two, one for each bathroom. Adds heat when taking a shower - before, during and after. I lived out West and remember the heat lamps in the bathroom. When I redid my bathrooms it was a priority. This is not the one the electrician recommended but it is smaller and quieter.

Works well and is quiet.
Heat lamps are 250 watt EACH! Very warm, and use a lot of electricity. This thing works great though, the fan is quiet, the included area lamp burned out in 2 days. I replaced that with a very bright LED,so now it's fine.I also replaced the heat lamps with 125 watt versions, not quite as warm, but adequate and comfy.

Heat lamp and fan remove moisture completely!
Fantastic product! Metal housing box is high quality (no plastic), fan is quiet, night light is a real bonus and heat removes all the humidity from the shower! Love it!

Avoid - broken in 10 months terrible install
The media could not be loaded. 7/6/2018 Update: After barely 10 months of service the blower wheel is already broken on this unit. To the company's credit after calling them with a warranty claim they did overnight the replacement part to me - but it was still ONLY 10 MONTHS! This is definitely a regretted purchase at this point - the rapid mechanical failure goes along with the terrible packaging, terrible instructions, and some of the design features (UGH with the springs holding on the cosmetic faceplate - what a terrible solution). Hopefully this is the last of my problems with this unit, but I'm already thinking I need to plan for its replacement before long. Which means not only will it be a regretted purchase, but I'll have to spend money to replace plus even more to have its replacement installed.Original review (Aug 2017): Absolutely terrible packaging, you're almost guaranteed to have one or more bulbs break in transit and for the glass shards to get lodged into the works. Small shards getting caught in the fan motor is likely the cause of many other reviewers mentioning some odd noises coming from the fan. The appearance is reasonable although it looks much better in the listing photos than it does on my bathroom ceiling where it looks slightly cheaper and more tacky. I have used some old red colored infrared bulbs in mine and that doesn't help either, but it doesn't look much better with the clear bulbs to be honest and that makes the brightness level in the room WAY too high for my comfort.. As others have stated the gaps between the edges of the product and ceiling drywall does allow quite a bit of light from the 'nightlight' bulb to escape which isn't a good look. The wiring was evidently not simple, I had a professional do mine and he still had difficulty; no way I'd try to do this myself. The fan construction itself is somewhat less robust than I would prefer. For example the front plate is held on by 4 springs (WTF?) on the corners which are almost impossible to get back into the tiny holes they're intended to fit into and the infrared bulbs are cushioned by small plastic/rubber baflles that will make changing the bulbs very difficult if not impossible without trying to undo one of those corner springs and then reattach later. The entire thing reminds me of what it's like when you have artistic designers who didn't bother to consult engineering staff or consider user design, otherwise whoever drew up the schematics forgot to determine in advance how the faceplate should be attached and this is the Rube Goldberg solution they came up with.On the noise front this is just OK. Compared to something like a Panasonic Whisper it will sound very loud, but compared to any other comparable unit that has both exhaust fan and infrared lamps (like the Broan 164) and it's actually very much quieter indeed. The Panasonic is like having a oscillating desk fan in your bathroom, the Aero Pure is like having a middling loud bath fan (but still quiet enough to hear sounds in the next room), and the Broan and similar fans makes hearing almost anything outside your bathroom completely impossible. The Broan is actually uncomfortably loud in a small bathroom and would probably give you a headache given long exposure. For comparison, from outside the closed bathroom door, they would sound like: (1) You won't hear the Panasonic at all (2) The Aero Pure will sound like the Panasonic Whisper, and (3) the Broan will sound like the Aero Pure. The absolute best solution if you want both bath exhaust fan AND infrared lights is honestly to get and install both a Panasonic Whisper (make sure you get the FV-08-11VF5 Retrofit model, do not get the non-Retrofit model like the FV-11VQ5 unless you are absolutely positively sure you have the correct physical clearance in the ceiling space) *AND* a Broan 163 together (the 163 is the infrared lights only unit with no exhaust fans; yes it has a small fan to cool the bulbs and prevent the wiring from being burnt but the fan isn't much louder than the Panasonic Whisper). Yes, the installation will cost twice as much (if you're paying for professional install) but the end price of the fans will be about the same but if you have the ceiling space (and room between the joists above the drywall) that's the best solution by far. Next would be the Aero Pure, which despite it's flaws is still the best combo fan/infrared unit currently available. And last would be the Broan combo fan/light unit which I wouldn't wish on my enemy, it's honestly terrible. Honestly I'm hoping that someday someone like Panasonic or Delta makes a quiet (>1.5 sones) unit with integrated infrared bulbs. Those of us who either don't want an active heater or without a separate dedicated 15A or 20A circuit to run something like the Panasonic Whisper Warm (FV-11VH2)

I like have a large bathroom light switch and two smaller ...
- I attached the middle light to the main bathroom light switch. So all I needed was a large bathroom light switch which turned on my bathroom lights and the middle Aero Pure light. Then beside it I installed a double switch (tossed out the 3 swtich panel that came with it)The double switch was higher quality and by connecting the middle light to main bathroom light you eliminate a redundant switch. I like have a large bathroom light switch and two smaller ones for the heat and fan.- You need to run a main wire directly from the Aero Pure to the breaker box. It's for that reason that you should call an electrician even if you are handy. You can not simply run it to the main light switch to draw power.- The heat lights worked great but I still swapped them out for hotter lights as I have high ceiling. I dont know if I needed to do this, I just opted to before hand so I dont have to think about it again.- I ran the exhaust tube all the way to outside the residence so the water vapors are not going straight into the attic/crawlspace. It against code in many cities to run it straight to an attic so Im not sure why some people are advising to do this. Spend $20 more for the exhaust tube and take it outside.- One issue we had was being able to cover the wires with the internal metal wire cover piece because there are so many large wires running into the same section.- This product works great. Highly recommended.

Needs brighter non-heat lamp light
This item is being installed in a small Master Bath which is being renovated. We have not yet actually used it, but it seems to be well built and fairly well designed. The one problem that I see is that the light is only 60 watts and will take only an incandescent bulb. There does not seem to be room for a florescent bulb which would give more light at that wattage and last longer. There are other light sources in the bathroom, but with only this fixture, to get decent lighting for the room you would have to run the heat lamps as well as the light which would be OK in winter, but HOT and wasteful in summer, spring and fall. I would like to see the single light source upgraded to something equal to 100 watts. As far as the adequacy of the heat lamps, we cannot comment on that until we have actually used them for a while.I hope this feed back is going to the manufacturer.
