not sure but do not waste your money buying Nautica..it is skimpy, and very cheaply made, as well as being over priced! My robe was a rip off and I would NEVER wear it.

I measured as you asked and it's 26". I measured on the inside, from the bottom seam of one armpit to the bottom seam of the other. I hope I did it correctly for you.My own feeling is that the robe is more Large than X-Large.Paul
