Interested in using Kindle more!
Usually I don't read these types of booksI'm more of a Sci-Fi, Fantasy and comic book person. I hadto read this for English class, so I got it for my iPad. I got it for about 10 bucks, which is a great price. The Kindle app is very easy to use, and has both visually and performatively good interface. I usually get my books in paper, becausw I like to hold them while reading, and I'm a bir of a collector. But, I decided to try this one digitally. Books that I don't need a physical copy of, such as school books like this one, I've decided to buy on Amazon. It's great and cheap! This book was surprisingly good. Interesting characters, as well as storyline. The book has me wanting to expand my reading material with other types than comic books and stuff like that.

LIED. IT WAS NOT NEW. FOOD AND PEN MARKS.
The content of the book is great. The NEW sticker is a flat out lie. There were DLL sorts of smudges, glue, food marks on the book jacket. There’s a red magic marker dot on the pages.I was desperate to read the book with my student, do I kept it. But do NOT trust this seller!

think 50% Holden Caulfield, 50% you-as-an-awkward-teenager
Quirky, engaging and ridiculously relatable (even though I’m not a young adult!), Down and Across was one of my favorite reads of the last 12 months.Scott Ferdowsi’s (mis)adventures and constant self-questioning painted a character I won’t soon forget...think 50% Holden Caulfield, 50% you-as-an-awkward-teenager...and his friendship with the ephemeral Fiora formed a unique literary duo that deserve a sequel all to their own.The novel broaches a lot of tough questions about individuality, family, and race in a subtle and consumable fashion...no easy feat for a YA title.Expect to laugh a lot, likely cry, and ask yourself A LOT of productive questions about your own path...couldn’t recommend more highly!

Less likeable
I would recommend making the main character a little less likeable so that way the reader can slowly warm up to them and root for them in the end

Finding Yourself When You Are Not Really Lost
When Scott's grandfather has a heart attack in Iran, his parents get him set up for a month a home. He has money and an internship. But as soon as his parents leave, Scott runs away to Eashington, DC, where he tries to learn about being a gritty person. He makes some wonderful friends in DC and learns a great deal about himself in the process.

YA Reading at its Finest
I'm a mother of two who loves YA books and this one is as good as it gets. Moms--great book to buy for your kids and to read for yourself too. I passed it on to my daughter and she is gobbling it up. I love the themes hear and think it's a fun and uplifting story. I'm definitely going to be looking for what this debut author has to say next.

Read if you need a little Grit
Funny at times, serious subject for teens, lots of adventures and a moral at the end. Not complaints, just a good read
