P3-JZAH Jazz Exotics Amber Horn Guitar Picks

First, I wasn't sent those lovely amber colored picks so was a bit miffed at the outset. The picks themselves have a lovely sharp point, which allows you to kiss the strings lightly increasing the dynamic range. However, I use round wound strings so there's quite a lot of scratching when the pick attack is angled, which mine always is. They are also quite small and have no grip or dugout making them sensitive to slippage. The do feel durable and probably work fine on flat wounds.

For horn picks these are reasonably priced and very well-made. The size is closer to a jazz xl, but I found them very easy to hold and full-sounding with a moderate amount of attack on bass.

By far the best pick I have tried so far (and I tried many). Looking for a small Jazz pick so I called Harris Musical Products and explained to them my needs. They were very friendly and suggested # TS-JAZZEX (multi pack) and the# P32-JZAH (Amber Horn). I think I will settle on the Amber Horn which are very clear and bright. If you are looking for a hard pick this is the one for you. Been playing all day and I do not see any ware yet. The pick stays between your fingers and you don't have to fight to keep it in playing position. I will purchase more in the future because I think I have found the one that works for me.

I love these picks! I have played Dunlop Jazz III picks for years, but I decided to look for something a bit different, so I bought the US Blues sample that contained one of these. I immediately loved the weight of the pick and the way it feels in your hand. I misplaced the one from the sample pack and I was totally bummed, so I decided to order a few more packs of these. I later found the one I lost, which is still in great condition after over 6 months of being the only pick I used on electric. I would recommend these picks to anyone.

I mean i spent the 18 for the beautiful color and i got duller more white colored ones, 6/8 great pick just not my favorite color like the ones in the picture,

It has really good quality and is extremely stiff and durable.The sound, however, is a bit harsh, bassy, and dull compared to my trusted Jazz IIIs, I assume the thickness and toughness of these horn picks cause them to sound like that. It is very subjective but I would rather return them after trying.

I just love the sound and feel of these picks. There was an inventory, timing glitch that delayed shipment and the nice folks at Harris Musical Products sent me a set gratis, to hold me over. Kudos to them

Great picks, great tone!

Great picks and produce a wonderful honey thick tone. My only complaint is the size is just so darn small. Playing at any speed is problematic...so I don't use them for that. I was going to return them but something told me to give them a try. Very glad I did.
