Inexpensive and It Works w/UPDATE
UPDATE 3 Months Later: I have used this unit about 10 times in the last 3 months. With no warning the plastic rings on the bottom came off in two pieces. Everything would fit back together - like not broken, but undone. The unit still worked without these pieces, I used it another 3-4 times like this. I finally glued it all back together with E6000 glue and while it looks bad, it seems to function just fine. I am reducing it to 3 stars because of this.I bought this because of the price. I have been doing sous vide for about 3-4 years and have had two separate machines, both 1300 watts, under different names, but essentially the same thing. One started to make funny noises, so i thought I needed another backup. It works fairly well, I have no complaints because it has gotten the job done the 4-5 times I have used it thus far. It has less power than I am used to, but it still seemed to heat the water quickly. Quirk 1: Once you set it and it reaches temp, it goes straight into countdown mode - partially convenient, but different for me, I usually get a warning beep when it reaches temp, I push a button and it starts the timer. Quirk 2: Once it reaches the end of the timer, it shuts down - I would prefer it continue to run like my other machines. Fix, set it longer than you need and do the math. Quirk 3: While it does circulate the water, it is much quieter and I don't see the flow of my other units.Overall, I don't see how you can go wrong for the money, would recommend as long as you know what you are getting.

Died after several months of extremely light usage, but GREAT Customer Service.
3 stars due to failing item after just a few month, but GREAT customer service.Sadly, this sous vide immersion cooker became defective after just 8 months of extremely light usage (once a month - 180F for 1 hour to make a few portions of flan/creme caramel). Whilst it worked excellently at first, and I was most happy with this purchase in the first few months, by the time it reached 6 months of ownership, rattling from inside began to occur, and then small portions of the plastic housing broke off. This left the sous-vide immersion cooker unsafe to use, and useless overall other than to serve as a paperweight.I'm hopeful that this item will be immediately replaced by the manufacturer/vendor with a NEW (not refurbished) unit, as it has a 1-year warranty.UPDATE: Excellent customer service. Fast and clear response, with quick resolution. I look forward to receiving the new updated model, which should be out soon. I am most pleased with PINSOON's customer service and attention to detail. Happy to buy from again.

Simple Effective Sous Vide
If you're curious about sous vide cooking this is not a bad way to go. I have had mine for quite a while now and have used it weekly. Works great for Pork, Chicken, Turkey, Beef, and my primary use is wild game (pronghorn, whitetail deer). Can also be used to quick thaw things that are frozen solid and to heat things to a specific temperature without over or undershooting it.Very happy with this product. If you're a more serious home cook, or caterer or chef I'd get one of the more expensive ones, as this only has Temp & Time with no other bells and whistles. Great for a beginner home chef.

5 star value
Provisionally it is a 5 star product; and if this unit has longevity it will be so worth it. Temperature tested out very accurate with my meter, and I also let it run non-stop for about 24 hours just to check it out; it is very easy to program. Why pay more? Time will tell, but it is working perfectly. My unit label says 1200 watts, so that is plenty of power for an open pot or larger containers. It got my 12 quart container quickly up to temperature. This unit is economical enough to have two or more if you entertain a lot.

it melts
I bought this very excited to have that perfect stake. BUT after the second use, I noticed a weird noise coming from my machine to notice my bottom cap has melted to the point to completely came off and was just being pushed around the water. after letting it cool then pulling it out if the water the entire lower fall that was being held on my this bottom cap has fallen too soo idk if its just mine but it melts. PS it still works without its safety net but is very depressing knowing its broken but still working.

Amazing!
I've been using this Sous Vide 3 times a week for almost 6 months and can only say that it is FANTASTIC! Even if it were 3 times the price I would buy it again. So easy, forget Bluetooth ones with phone apps they only a marketing hand job to make you spend more money. I have given 3 of these as gifts and all are AMAZED!

Works fine - Don't buy the Joule or Anova anymore
I've had Joule and Anova machines. Ten year's ago Anova's were great. Now both Joule and Anova make cheap finicky junk, but still charge like the're something. This Pinsoon machine is fine. It works just as good (maybe a little louder) and cost a lot less. It will probably last as long as the others as well.

Easy To Use Right Out Of The Box!!!
This product worked perfectly right out of the box without reading the directions; strapped it onto a stock pot and slid some seasoned country style rips into a vacuum sealer bag and closed it up. Then proceeded to drop it into the pot with the sous vide powered on and set temperature to 145F at approximately 1 hour. Results were perfection!
