Have 4 stars because the idea is great for beginning violin players to master their correct bow position. I took off a star because it changes the sound of the violin. For a beginner who needs to hear the correct sound of the notes, it makes it sound a little hollow. Also, the wood of the bow rubs on plastic. Even thought it is a good idea for beginners, it’s being returned.

This is a fantastic product if you have a beginner on a full size instrument. Because it is very rare to have a beginner tart on a full sized instrument, it would be wise to make either a more adjustable product or in various sizes. I was able to make this work on a 1/2 size, but it only kind of worked.
