I am a believer
Works great for me, way fewer thin and chunk shots around the green; and much easier to control left to right. The price it is hard to beat. The weight and overall shape results in way fewer miss hits than I would get with a 56 or 60 degree for similar shots.

Plastic back
Except for the plastic insert in the back this club is excellent.

Best chipper
I had an original infomercial version but it got stolen so I ordered the Mazel 45 degree version. Even though it was the same lift it seemed to hit the ball lower. So I ordered the 55 degree version. This is the one to get. It chips just high enough to give excellent results. My friend has the 55 degree infomercial version but the sole is bigger than their 45 degree version. The Mazel 45 and 55 degree version seem to have similars sole sizes which I much prefer. They say it is hard to chunk these which I agree with. This is my main go to club around the greens. Very happy with the performance and Mazel even gives you a head cover which the other brand does not. My only request would be to replace the green grip with a regular black or grey one!

Amazing Mazel!
This is my 4th purchase of these wedges. The 45° Square Strike “chipper” was my first. I lost it and ordered another Mazel 45° because I liked it so much. So many shots you can accomplish with it (just like a reg pitching wedge but easier). Well, it was found and turned into the pro shop, but I decided to keep the reorder (just in case). My results were so good I purchased the 7,8,9 iron set to replace my old Calloway Hawkeye VFT wedges. Next came the 60° Square Strike “Lob” wedge. I’m told no amateur should ever have a lob wedge but this works great for me on short shots around the green if I’m not going to putt instead. So now, my short game is getting pretty good (I’m a very good putter) but I’m hitting my pitching wedge too far on 50ish yd shots, having difficulty guaging/feeling the distance and of course the lob is too short a club - in my mind I needed a gab wedge that I could control without thinking too hard (was having a hard time with my husband’s 52° gap wedge) SOOOO, to make a long story short, I ordered the Mazel 55° wedge and BINGO my handicap came down one whole point in a just a couple of rounds! It’s my go to club on the 55yd shots to get the ball on the green and get my 1-2 putts down. These clubs have a heavier feel than most wedges I’ve had, and I like that a lot.My index is still kind of high but low enough to get me on St Andrew’s if I had the chance to play there again L.O.L. I’m a 78 yr old, 5’3” 132# woman, I’ve played 3x a week consistently for the past few years. I’ve had 2 knee replacements and 1 hip replacement in those years so the bod doesn’t turn like it used to, the LPGA is not knocking on my door, - but I have so much more confidence using these Mazel square strike wedges! Woman or Man, if any of this sounds familiar you should try at least one of these Mazel clubs.FYI- this Mazel 55° has also replaced my Sand Wedge!

Useful provided you have basic skills and some extra practice time.
I ordered two of them. One for my wife and one for myself. I was pre-sold by a Mr. Shortgame You tube videos. My wife experimented for a few days and decided the club brought nothing to the table that her tried and true pitching wedge doesn't and decided to return hers. I still have mine and consider it useful enough to hold on to. But make no mistake, the M club requires a reasonably good chipping stroke for it to be used with consistency. This requires some practice. If you're willing to put in the time to familiarize yourself with this club, it can be a worthy addition to your bag.

Pitching and clipping
This is a great product if you’re struggling with your wedges. I have clipped in several times from off the green. I can take a full shot and it works well!

Good wedge
My wife loves this thing. It’s think it is rather redundant. It does have a wider flatter sole. If you can’t chip this may give the confidence. But it is not magic, you still have hit the ball correctly, you can still blade it. Would recommend the higher lofts.
