Design Toscano Lion of Florence Sentinel Indoor/Outdoor Animal Statue, 28 Inch Tall, Cast Stone Resin, Antique Stone Finish

I absolutely love this lion statue! I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it, but it's definitely exceeded my expectations. The first thing that impressed me was the quality. It's really weighty and feels substantial, and the stone finish looks incredibly realistic. It doesn't look like some cheap plastic garden ornament at all. It actually looks like a real stone statue, especially from a distance. I placed mine on the side of my entry, and it definitely makes a statement. My neighbors have all commented on how much they like it, and it for sure adds a touch of drama to my house. The size is also perfect. It's not too small that it gets lost, but not overwhelmingly large either. It's just the right size to make an impact without looking out of place. Overall, I'm absolutely thrilled with this purchase. It's a beautiful, well-made statue that's added a touch of elegance to my garden. If you're looking for a high-quality piece that will surely turn heads, then this lion statue is definitely for you!

I bought two of these Lions (early August, 2022), with the idea of placing them at the entrance to the gravel driveway of a property I was restoring, for a friend, in Annapolis, Maryland. Upon delivery, I arranged to have a 4" X 4" diameter hole drilled into the base of the hollow statues. We then mixed some cement (two 80 lb. bags for each statue) and, upon tipping the lions upside-down, and leaning them up against a storage shed, filled them with concrete. The next day, the cement having dried, we stood them right-side up. Then, we spray-painted them with a bronze-copper tone, followed by two coats of a clear protectant/sealant, to protect against the coming cold weather. Once this process was completed, each lion weighed 224 lbs. As they come with a nice 'base' already attached, they were set to be placed, facing forward, on each side of the entrance to the driveway to the property I was having restored, for a close friend, on the shore of the South River. Within three days, 15-16 neighbors who pass this place on their daily walks made a point to stop over, and complimented me on this astoundingly beautiful addition to their block. Several asked where I found them, and two people - who were the guests of some neighbors down the street - told me that they planned to order them, and follow the steps described, above. Believe me, get two of these majestic critters and do as we did, you won't regret it! These 'Guard Cats' are a marvelous addition to this place, and the compliments are still coming in - on a regular basis. TODD BLODGETT

I love this piece of decor. I think ordering the stand to display it on is a must. It makes it feel much more grand and dramatic. A beautiful, subtle, yet unexpected and unique addition to the landing on the stairs. Great value

I ordered two for the front of the house, stunning! Only thing, they're not heavy enough to withstand wind so we drilled a hole at the bottom, filled it with sand and used a plug from a hardware store, worked great. Great addition to our house.

I love this serious lion. He currently sits by my front door and keeps watch. Makes me smile

Nice statue but received it slightly damaged. My intent was to place these two Lions outside near my pool but the instructions that came with the statues state that is not the best place. If I had known that resin was not a good material to place outside I would not have bought the product. Also the statues are lightweight. Anyone wishing to buy this product and use it for outdoors, my suggestion would be to pass on it and buy something more durable like concrete.

A magnificently maned regal beast, standing guard at the garden entrance. Amazingly white in colour for which it was difficult to find a plinth matching in size and colour. Reasonably priced at £292.39, and not so heavy as to make carrying and placing burdensome, the texture is very smooth and impervious to rain and frost alike. Whether immune to the ravages of strong sun, I shan’t know until we get some. I am very satisfied with my purchase and hope to enjoy the view for many years to come.

This lion has character. Looks great on my patio door entrance.
