right fit
you have to buy a threaded pipe to fit it and then it can clean out a catch basin . it works great, taking out rotting mud and dirty water out . Much cheaper than hiring a Vactor truck and crew at over $300 for each cleaning , this tool saves me thousands in the long run.

It seems really strong
The item is well made and welded together. The picture is not correct, in that the one I received had a 3/4 inch female fitting, so I had to get several plumbing fitting reducers to be able to attach it to a 1/2 inch fitting on a long paint handle which would allow me to use it at the bottom of a 4 foot deep catch basin. Haven't used it yet, but I see no reason to not believe that it will function well to empty the trap in a horse barn wash rack.
