Yes. But you will need some water on the bottom together with corn

Yes, one of our customer use our warmer that way as well

Q: After how long does automatic shutoff activate, can I keep it going overnight?

If the water is gone, then the auto shutoff would be triggered. As long as there is enough water, you could leave it overnight

Q: Can you use a liner with this?

I have not used a liner but if it was a liner designed for hot use ex. a crock pot liner that may work.
