Worked Great. I thought they were Sturday Enough
I saw some comments about them being brittle, but the batch I had worked fine. I did bend one due to the previous drilled holes being out of alignment, but it had nothing to do with the quality of the loks.Drilled out the old 30 year old loks using a 1/4 bit. Tapped the new ones in, but didn't complete the last few strikes until all four loks were in place. Same practice as with lug nuts on a car wheel.

Ok but kind of flimsy
Needed two of these for a shutter that was installed by the siding contractor. Contractor did not get the holes in the shutter and siding lined up very well and these were hard to install as the shaft bent too easy. I had to use an older used pin that was stiffer in one location as the new pin would just bend.These would be ok if the holes line up.

They work great!
We painted our shutters red and decided to use these instead of screws and the buttons. My husband drilled out the same holes that were there and tried the 1/4 in. bit first but it was to tight so he went to the next size up. (Which is a strange size).It was perfect and went in well. Hint: keep them out of the sun as they will get soft and bend. Hint 2: don’t push to much of the end threw the shutter before you line it up or it will bend when you tap them in. Use a wooden mallet and make sure you have your shutter right side up or you have to cut the shutter lok off from behind as we did with one.
