So compact. Colors are beautiful

These are THE WORST watercolors I have ever had the misfortune to purchase. Since when does blue and red make gray?? Well, with this set, that's exactly what happens. Not good for mixing colors. Plus, all the blues are pretty much the same, and all the browns all are all basically the same brown. Why would there be SO many brown shades in such a small package of watercolors? The paint does NOT flow, which given how inexpensive it was I really didn't expect much in that department, they are chalky, and sit on top of the paper in such a way that even after they are dry you can pretty much wipe them right off. If you value your children's artistic talents, and want them to enjoy their art DO NOT get them this set of watercolors. Using these, their art WILL suck, and then they will always think they are the ones who suck, when it's really the quality of the materials they are give to use. Please...don't waste your time, or talent on these paints.

Very nice. They blend well with each other and are small and portable for travel. The lid becomes a mixing tray. Perfect for flowers and seaside scenes. I would buy again if they come up with a different color selection.

These are very small water colors and you can not take the individual color pad out of the circle.

My daughter is delighted with the colours. The panting quality and intensity of the colours is wonderful. The presentation is great as it keeps all the colours in a very innovative case.

Love these for use plein aire.

Nice paints, but not without faults. I got the box of 48 first. Loads of strong colours but only one green, and a fairly bland one at that. Not much good for someone who paints landscapes! I then ordered this set for the greens. But I cannot open two of the trays, they're so tightly closed together, obviously by a machine at the packing stage. The greens and reds won't part company, and neither will the top tray separate from the transparent lid. My hands are sore from trying to prise them apart, without success so far. So, three stars for poor presentation. They're definitely not suitable for anyone with dexterity issues in their hands. I had the same problem with one tray in the set of 48. It almost defeated me.

There's no doubt that the colours and strong which I was happy with, but once they have been wetted prior to use they run out onto the colours next to them which ruins them. So, in my opinion, the colours are lovely and strong but the circular design isn't such a good idea after all. I daresay others wouldn't agree though.

Although the paints are not of the top quality, they are good enough and the handy design for working outside outweighs the disadvantages.

Quality paints at an amazing price. Can't go wrong with this set of lovely colours. All the earths elemental colours are in this set, so you can do a seascape, landscape, skyscape and all other scapes you are wanting to have on paper. There's good depth in all the colours and most of the lighter shades make lovely transparent washes.

I bought these after using some at a friend’s. The design of the trays is good which makes them easy to transport. Colours are strong on paper and fabric.
