heavenly & so simple - with some suggested instructions
Easiest brewing method I've tried; I prefer cold coffee to hot so this is perfect. Makes rich, luxurious, practically "essence" of coffee with no heat distortion. A touch naturally sweet. Have had no problems with grounds in the coffee. My style of preparation for a coffee concentrate:1) I buy Starbucks coffee by the pound online; there is only a choice of whole bean or ground. I get ground. I have no idea what it specific grind it is intended to be.2) I fill the filter with ground coffee to about 1 cm below of the bottom of the plastic ring at the top of the filter. So, about 1 cm "daylight" shows through.3) I add room temperature bottled water gradually, stirring gently with one chopstick. Pour, let it filter through, pour some more.4) I add enough water (maybe 20ish ounces?) so that the top of the mixture hits the midway mark of the plastic ring at the top the glass beaker. I estimate. Just not so much that the filter won't rest in the pot (though it does need to be pushed down gently before putting the top on).5) In the fridge for 8+ hours (overnight). This makes a concentrate that can be diluted with cold bottled water to taste, as sometimes I like it stronger (about 2:1 coffee to water), sometimes less strong (1:1). I store the concentrate in the fridge in a 39-ounce Bormioli Rocco Frigoverre Jug with Hermetic Lid (available on Amazon), and only have to make the coffee every couple days. Clean up couldn't be easier, just dump the grounds and rinse the pot and filter. Before I clean it, I let the filter full of grounds rest for awhile standing in a bowl or mug to get all of the the water/coffee that is left in it.

Magnificent !
The media could not be loaded. Whoever reads this, believe me when I say, you will love this iceed coffee maker. I am amazed how easy it is to make a cup of iced coffee that tastes this good and with such easy clean up. I said to myself if this little ( I bought the 600m ) can come close to McDonald's I would be happy. Well it did and there will be no more stopping at McDonald's. Not only is it made very well , makes a great cup of iced coffee, it is cute but most importantly a no brainer. My ratio is a half cup grounds, fill with water and enjoy!

Small, no instructions but worked well
I own. Toddy cold brew system and I love it. I bought this and had it shipped to my vacation destination because I only like cold brewed coffee now. Seller shipped promptly and it was some what I expected. Two things did bother me; 1) the instructions were in Japanese or Chinese. All of them. The while box was too. Since I'm familiar I guessed at proportions but I was planning on leaving this behind for my friend who was graciously allowing me to stay at her house. Not helpful if she's never cold brewed before. 2) the carafe is small. Smaller that I thought it would be. Meaning, I had to grind and soak each day while I was there for the 3 of us to have coffe in the morning. Other than those two issues it made good coffee and had very little sediment and cleaned very nicely. I would buy it again for the price and it made a nice leave behind gift for my friend who can now enjoy her cold brew!

Not incredibly impressed with this product.
A cold brew pot like this is a tremendous improvement from using a coffee filter, or cheese cloth, which makes a mess. However, I wish I purchased a different brand or model. The lid does not seal, and the contents are always exposed. This pot is very small. Also I can't understand the directions, so I am guessing on the recipe.

Needs English instructions.
Didn't come with English instructions, but I found a tutorial on YouTube. Using Tim Hortons coffee, the end result was very smooth as promised. Would have been five stars if they were courteous enough to put English instructions somewhere on or in the packaging, we aren't all fluent in Japanese. No English manual on their website, either.1/2 cup of whole beans, give or take just a little bit, coarsely ground, will be the proper amount to add to the basket. I haven't measured ground coffee yet, will update when known.Update 8/2023: I've been using various blends of ground coffee for years, even if they weren't specifically noted for cold brew, 1/2 cup of ground beans always gives me a nice, smooth result.

Worth every penny, if you like iced coffee.
Had never tried cold-brewed coffee before. Works (and tastes) great. I'm putting in 1 tablespoon finely ground coffee (or espresso) per 100 ml of water (filtered), then letting it sit in the fridge overnight. The filter element is awesome - a superfine mesh - so, no grinds at all get through.Only (small) issue is the bottom of the filter element sits pretty high off the bottom of the pot, so you need to make pretty much a whole pot, otherwise, the coffee won't be immersed in the water. But, it's only 600 ml total and you can always make the full amount then, if you don't drink it all at once, just put the pot back in the fridge and drink the rest later.Worth every penny, if you like iced coffee.

The coffee came out tasting weirdly bitter and not at all strong and robust in flavor the way I'm used to having coffee. The other issue is that the filter does not reach close enough to the bottom of the pot, and that's probably why the coffee is too diluted even when you put in lots of coffee grind in the filter. That big gap in between the bottom of the filter and the bottom of the pot forces you to use more water proportionately.

Works well
I hate burned or overcooked coffee, and am tired of replacing burned-out coffeemakers. Cold-brew is the best solution, and this appears to be a good system at little expense, especially for a person who lives alone. Several pointers:The directions are in Japanese, and indicate specific amounts of coffee and brewing times. Toss that, and do what works for you.I grind 1/3 cup beans, and brew for 24 hours. Depending on the quality and quantity of the beans, you may need to dilute the coffee to taste. I just started using 2 lb Whole Bean Coffee Bagwhich is ideal. The directions evidently call for using chopsticks to stir the slurry. I got a pair, and they work fine in the tall skinny container.Enjoy the mellow.
