Great!!
Received 2 of these adapters, and they came as scheduled. They work great. At first there was a bit of a learning curve, as had to download the firmware and update the controllers, but once completed, they work as advertised. The directions are a little difficult to understand, but we viewed a few YouTube videos, and it was smooth sailing from there. We have always wondered if there was a way to play the PlayStation using the Xbox controllers, as we love the Xbox controllers, and think they are more ergonomic and easier to use. Well this is the way!!!

Gamers nightmare
Great product until one the battery stop working either won't charge or USB port wear out too fast. They also turn off periodically with warning, But they last for a few months with regular gaming use so your choice

One of the best gaming investments I've ever made
First off, I'm going to cover answer a few things that I wanted to know before I purchased this, but could not find answers to.- If you sync this to a PS4, then change the mode to use it with a Switch/PC/Xbox, and then change it back to PS4 mode, it will still be synced to your PS4 console. You won't have to re-sync it after every time you switch console modes.- It cannot wake the Switch from sleep mode, though it CAN turn the PS4 on from sleep mode by pressing the Brook Key on the adapter.- The trigger range you set on an Elite controller WILL be translated properly when playing on a PS4 (tested in GT Sport). For example, normally when you activate your trigger stops on an Elite controller, they will not be registered as a 100% press because they're not going all the way down. You can change this in the Xbox One Accessories app so that it will register as a 100% press when it reaches the trigger stop. This helps in games like PUBG where you may want the trigger stops for shooting, but don't want them to impair your ability to drive vehicles at full speed. Your settings for this will work properly while using this controller on PS4, which I honestly didn't expect.Back to my normal review, this thing is nothing short of a miracle to me. I'd been looking for a proper PS4 Elite-tier controller for ages, and they all had drawbacks. I've tried the Scuf Impact (weird paddle placement and you need a tool to change the trigger stop positions and analog sticks), the Scuf Vantage (same issues as the Impact), Razer Raiju Ultimate (would have been a great controller if not for the widespread software and hardware issues, tried 4 of these and they all had problems), and a handful of cheap alternatives that were awful. I've always loved the Xbox Elite controller, but I could never find a way to use it wirelessly on the PS4 (looking at you, CronusMax).I stumbled across the first model of this thing thinking it sounded too good to be true. Surely there had to be some kind of noticeable input lag, right? And that battery life was terrible, definitely not enough for a decent gaming session. After doing some research, I found this model that had recently come out with an improved battery life. That was enough to at least get me to try it, and I figured I would return it if there was noticeable input delay/lag/disconnecting issues, etc.I can say without a doubt, I had none of these issues. In fact, I haven't had any issues with it at all, and I've used it pretty often this past week. It held plenty of a charge through an 8-hour Borderlands 3 release party, all my button inputs have been immediate, and aside from getting the adapter onto the controller (which can be a bit tough), I couldn't be happier with this product. Changing console modes doesn't take more than a few seconds, so swapping between consoles is pretty quick, aside from maybe the Switch which takes a bit longer. There's a few things to keep in mind when using this product, though. On the PS4, you will no longer have the light bar on your controller. The touch pad button and swipes can be simulated with button combos, and the motion control works great as well, but I don't think it would work in PSVR games that require a controller with a light bar. You also do not have a speaker built into the controller, so games that make use of it will either have to play the audio through your TV, or you won't get that functionality at all.If you're worried this adapter can't actually be as good as it sounds, believe me, I felt the same way. It ended performing better than I expected, and the price is well worth being able to use my favorite controller on all my consoles, with all the Elite functions properly working as well. I'll be keeping an eye out for a model that works with the upcoming Elite V2 controller, as well as one that might allow me to use an Elite controller on the PS5 next gen. Well worth the investment, if you ask me.

All hail the Elite controller!
Pros:+Easy to set up and configure. It took less than 10 minutes to have my Elite controller working on both my PS4 and Switch.+Easy to configure button mapping done on the receiver instead of console software.Cons:-I couldn't get the XBox to turn on with the controller during my test, but I could turn it off.(side note: I do not turn on my console using the controller. My TV turns it on when I select the input or I use the XBox app on my phone, so I listed this as a con for those who rely on this feature)-8 hours of battery life(side note: I use AmazonBasics 2400 mAH rechargeables, which give me about 20 hours, so this is a con for me)Neutral:*no controller speaker (PS4 only) - No loss for me here as I find this gimmicky feature annoying. The Details:I do not write reviews often. When I do, it's usually because the product has impressed or disappointed me.This adapter has done more than impress me. To connect to one console was impressive. To connect to all three is speechless. This device has changed gaming for me and this isn't hyperbole.Every controller packaged with consoles is cheap junk. I have spent hundreds looking for replacements for both customization, comfort, and especially durability. While many 3rd party controllers are better, they also seem to come with problems which do not justify the price tag. When Microsoft announced the Elite, I decided to take a chance with a preorder as I had a feeling these would fly off the shelves (I wasn't wrong). For nearly $200, it is, without doubt, the best controller I have ever used. It is customizable, durable, and very comfortable. The weight alone made this a pleasure for me to use (it's heavy, but that's how I like it). With the Brook adapter, I now have two fantastic things brought together: Sony exclusive games and the Elite controller. It doesn't get better than this! Now to the good stuff: how well it works in game! There is absolutely no noticeable lag in response time using this adapter. Every action and movement is instant. I'm currently playing The Last of Us and aiming is spot on and responsive. All non-action buttons are also instant such as the crafting menu.I sit approximately 6 feet from my tv, so the range is more than enough to ensure a proper connection. The weight of the adapter is barely noticeable on the Elite, given how the controller is already heavy. I do not know how this will feel on a basic XBox controller, because I stopped using those years ago.I do need to point out an important message: THIS ADAPTER WILL NOT WORK ON THE ELITE 2!!!The adapter requires the battery compartment to fully seat itself and replaces any battery system you're currently using, which is why it cannot be used on the Elite 2.You can recharge the adapter while playing with a USB cable, so I would have one handy given the short 8 hour battery life. Thankfully, my battery charger has a USB connection which sits behind me, so I didn't need a long cable.(side note: you do not need to connect the USB to the console - any USB charging unit will work)In closing, I cannot recommend this product enough for those who love and want to use the Elite controller on the PS4 and Switch. With easy setup instructions and 10 minutes of your time, you can take the PS4 and Switch to the next level. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Update and Understand what you have.
I have been trying out the different settings on the Brook X One Adapter XL and have found this to be a vary helpful little addon for my Elite controller (original). Have tested on IOS 14 (ipads, phones, & TV) and on the Android 10 (Samsung Tab S7+) running steam and PS4 remote play. For the most part everything runs fine. In IOS I am getting a 1/2 sec delay with the view button response but when do you need 0 latency on those buttons?Note:Before anything update the firmwareIOS - With controller off hold Brook button down until it starts blinking, then hold View+RB until the system tuns off. Then hold the Brook button again until is blinks (should take less time). IOS should find it as a DS4 controller. Bob's your uncleAndroid - Same as IOS but sees it as a default controller. I use View+A to have it in DS4 mode and it sees it wireless first try without it hardwired. Only issue is the view button is mapped as the touch pad button and the brook button is the View button.
