Writing a Review Because the Reviews Helped Me
Pros:-I should have taken before pictures because this actually works!-Doesn't require a lot of space for equipment (everything you need in the box... kinda)-I only need a very small portion of open floor to do the exercises-Everything is branded, which makes opening the box fun-Love the time countdown for both the move and the video (wish all work outs had them!!!)-I think it actually built functional strength for BJJ-The MMA theme was super fun!!!-The trainer was personable and besides wondering how many expressos he had drunk I was mostly inspired to do what he said-Lots of shirtless ripped guys. Sometimes the trainer would have the ones still wearing their shirts take them off. I appreciated the view but wondered a smidge if it was harassment.Cons:-Needed to buy a set of exercise bands. I only used the one in the box the first week for the hard exercises and only because I am not that strong. Lifting more than a 3lbs weight? Wanting to finish working more than a 3 lbs weight? you need stronger bands. (also it is a resistance band, not a jump rope like it says on the box)-There is no modification for any of the moves. That means if you can't do a standard pushup up, plank, side plank etc. expect to be modifying on the fly the entire time.-The workouts are just under an hour and the time is usually what stops me from doing them.-There is a lot of talk by the trainer about getting the "look" of a fighter. I'm not doing this for looks but for functional strength and all the "look/bikini body" talk was very off putting.-The Plyo workout hurt my knees. I don't have perfect knees but they aren't at the point where I would have expected this.-All the DVDs are different run times and the run time isn't listed on them. I had to go to the website, get the times, and sharpie them on. How was this overlooked? This seems like a really basic thing!-Half way through it tells you that you maybe should have bought the optional weighted gloves. Whatever, but it would have bee nice to know before I popped the DVD in what equipment was being used. Conclusion:If you have a set period of time or special event that you are motivated to get fit for, this is an option. Don't expect to keep up with it on an ongoing basis. Also, order a set of resistance bands at the same time you order this

Great Intense Workout. :)
My wife and I do this work out every night in accordance with the chart it comes with. Some background on myself. I have a second degree blackbelt in Thai Kwon Do and Muy Thai mix. I stopped going due to life getting in the way and spent a year off, occasionally doing exercises and some cardio. My wife is active but nothing to that scale. We decided that we want to stay in shape so I thought we could give this a shot. This is an intense workout but it is a lot of fun and varied. You don't do the same thing every day. You do a workout 6 days a week and the 7th day is a rest day. Some days they add a 15 minute ab work out at the end of the regular workout. We are 3 weeks in and I lost 6 pounds. My wife is getting better at keeping up (at times I have difficulty keeping up) and she feels she is getting stronger and she said she has lost some weight, (She is not overweight but won't tell me how much she lost ;) )So something to keep in mind when you do this work out is sometimes you will need space and I would recommend getting maybe a yoga mat or an exercise mat. There is an exercise that we do that is a side lunge to backward lunge to forward lunge so you need to make sure you have enough space to do stuff like this without dripping sweat everywhere.I think the band it came with is pretty light weight and I ended up buying a resistance band set to use as a heavier resistance. It is much better than other videos I have seen where it is just ok down 2, 3, 4, ok up 2, 3, 4. The trainer keeps it interesting and like I said it is pretty fun. I think if I had to nitpick a complaint, I would have liked to see him to a stretch for say 5 minutes prior to the exercise. You get a good warm up going but I would have still liked to see a stretch.

Decent MMA-style Workout Program
This was my first try at an MMA style workout, as I have done several of the Beachbody programs. I will start by saying this a good workout program providing good cardio and some muscle conditioning. Plan on committing 45-60 minutes 6 days a week if you follow the program schedule. This workout will not get you huge muscles and seems to be more focused on fat loss, but I will tell you the successes of the people you see on this program (The Test Group) are not common and I think most is contributed to them, following a strict nutrition plan. I do like the fact that they are not selling anything like the Beachbody programs that constantly plug their other products. The Beachbody programs do seem to be a little bit better put together, but for the savings with this program, it is not enough to complain about. I would suggest getting a few extra bands as the band provided is a bit light for many of the exercises.

Pushes you constantly
These workouts are high intensity and difficult.I've done P90x. P90x is a program that challenges you to, for example, complete 8-10 reps using dumbbells. In TapouT XT, you use bands and do 20-30 reps as fast as you can. Then you're onto the next exercise with almost no break. It's a great workout if you like being constantly pushed out of your comfort zone.At the end of each 45-55 minute workout, I'm drenched in sweat and exhausted. After 3 weeks, I haven't been able to keep-up with a work-out yet but I am improving and feeling stronger.Although the kit comes with a band, it helps to have a few different weight bands handy to get the right tension for each exercise (or switch to a lighter band later in the workout.)

SKEPTIC LIKE YOU BUT I GOT EVERYTHING
I've order this in the past when it came out in 2012. And boy I gave up so quick and thought to myself I just lost 130 bucks.I gave it a try again 8 years later and boy I'm surprised i thought I would get a used one with scratched discs and no bands at all. But I got everything as packaged and I love it and I'm actually doing these workouts. Day 12 already. For a good price. Not to much cardio like insanity.I would say perfect for if you want to try insanity do this first program first.
