The photo shows a center red light. It only comes in if motion is detected and then the white light comes on. My old solar lights looked like the same but had that constant red center light after dark. It mimicked a camera and was an additional deterrent to keep someone from approaching the house from the back lakeside. They were just installed so we don't know how long they will last. They were easy to install and put out a good amount of light.

Update 08082022 - I contacted to Manufaturer through Ask Seller option in Amazon. They contacted me back within 30 minutes a d confirmed that tbey are sending a replacement - No questions asked. I did receive the replacement as express shipping within a day. I appreciate the customer service and i will not hesitate buying from this manufacturer again. NOTE - only one of the 4 items i bought initially had issues..One of them stopped working after 3 months. It is past amazon return window and I am stuck with the defective piece. I dont see an easy way to contact the manufacturer who is claims 160 week free replacement...

Easy install, good price, and works well.

Super easy to install and very responsive to motion. They are beautifully designed with metal casingWish they would stay a bit longer on when activated, but still very pleased with my purchase. Would buy them again if needed.

Motion detection is weak at best. Would not recommend

pros: Bright light. Easy to install. Rigged construction.Unfortunately, only three stars in spite of pretty significant positive attributescons:1:The motion sensor is not sensitive enough. They advertise a 50 foot radius of light, you only get 25 ft of motion detection. Motion detection seems to be less than 25 ft in actual use. We use two lights to light the path to a detached garage. with both lights full brightness, it will light the entire distance. However, the motion sensor isn't weak enough to pick up motion in time to go full brightness so you walk about a 1/3 to 1/2 of the distance in the dark, waiting for the next light to activate.2:Not big enough solar panel/battery. Now that we are at the shortest days of the year, I have found that a couple of overcast days in a row and the light runs out of battery before morning. The shortest days of the year are the most likely days to need the extra light in the morning. I don't know if it needs a slightly bigger solar panel to capture more light when cloudy, or a slightly bigger battery to carry through until the next sunny day.If the motion sensor would work at longer distance, I could relocate the lights to experiment with trying to get more direct sunlight although they get direct sun the majority of the day now.
